We had Eastman do some work on our roof after getting quotes from 3 or 4 other vendors. They offered a good, down to Earth solution that addressed our needs without requiring us to rebuild the whole roof! The person who came to do the estimate was very knowledgeable and helpful. A different set of guys came to do the work and a third person came to inspect it after it was all done.
PROS: creative solutions to customer needs
CONS: lack of continuity in person dealing with customer

Chattable, he actually took the time to talk to me, set some fears at rest, and give me a good, overall confidence that I had chosen the right person.
They provided a good price, good communication, prompt service and good workmanship.
Lots of friendliness and hard sell up front, but not too responsive after the job was done. No major complaints except clean up after tear off could have been more rigorous, tear off guys caused damage to Sun Tunnel skylight resulting in leakage and some interior water damage which contractor would not acknowledge, trim exposed by replacing gable flashings with smaller material not painted (found later in contract they don't do that) and roof over bay window not shingled (in contract). Did not get response from contractor/owner after several calls (delegated to an underling) corrective action from contractor was to only drop off some extra materials for covering bay widow roof which I had to take care of myself. The roofers were polite and competent and did a good job, finishing with no major delays.
Needed quick service on a leaky section of 'flat' roof. After submitting our request through ServiceMagic, we received a call-back within 10 minutes, a faxed quote received/signed/returned the next day, and got the work done the next work day (by Ramon from Eastman). Their price seemed fair, and the job was completed quickly, and we hope thoroughly. Ramon explained what he was doing, and was done in a day. The experience with the staff from Eastman was wonderful from the get go. Athar, the salesman, showed up to take measurements and talked with us for more than an hour about what we were going to be doing. He came back 3 weeks later with the quote and spent more than 1.5 hours going over everything in the quote and explaining in detail what we could do to shave money off the quote. The quote contained many options for roofing and extras that could add to or remove from the price of the quote. Once Athar was finished presenting his quote we signed the contract.
The tearoof happened the following Monday and the roof was complete by Thurs.
Did an excellent job--
Workmen completed work on time and on budget.
They did a good job. It was passed by the city inspector.
I had to explain the problem twice, other than that the work was resolved quickly.
Extremely conciencous crew. Quality finishing and good communication. Ramon is especially good at what he does and his helper was very workmanlike and did a quality job.
