Castoro Cellars is a fun place to stop and taste. It can be a bit chaotic to say the least, so time your visit accordingly or it may effect your quality of visit. Our host was pleasant, but very busy. We loved the Tango (white blend) and due Mila Sette (red blend) fun tasting room with lots of gifts and couches to lounge in.

This is a must stop whenever I travel through the area. I time so I can bring a nice assortment of snack to have with some wine out on the grass. The winery is beautiful with the old vines hanging around and the Zins and Cabs are always great. Another option is to buy a few bottles and take them over the steakhouse in Templeton for a wonderful meal.

I definitely recommend stopping at the winery to pick up a couple of bottles of their Zinfandel or Chardonnay. Castoro Cellars lives up to its' motto "dam fine wine."
5Castoro is a really great place to stop if you are wine tasting. Their motto is a blast, "Dam Fine Wine" so make sure you buy a couple of glasses with their logo on it to show your friends. Their wine is good as well and they usually have a large selection to taste. They also offer grape juice tasting for anyone who is not drinking, which is a nice touch.

We went to a group tasting at Castoro and loved it. To me, Castoro is the epitome of what makes the Paso Robles area such a great one for wine tasting and exploring -- it's relaxed, fun, unpretentious and they make "dam fine wine." Great zins and a very nice Viognier.
