My three year old twin boys thrived in BCNS's "fish" class last year. The teachers are very caring I recommend this school.

My son is in the 3 year-old class and my daughter attended BCSN for all three of her pre-school years. My children have thrived in this environment where the teachers are caring and creative. The parent involvement through cooping and other volunteer activities provides a wonderful sense of community where you get to know your children's friends and their parents. My children are stronger, more secure little people as a result of their experiences at BCNS. My daughter is now across the street at Bethesda Elementary and I feel stringly that her time at BCNS lay a great foundation for her transition to elementary school -- both socially and educationally.
I can't say enough good things about how this school has been a great experience for my children.

Our daughter is now in her third year at BCNS and we have had nothing but a wonderful experience. The teachers, the curriculum, and extra programs (such as lunch bunch and summer camp) are superb. Parent involvement makes for a warm and nurturing environment and is the foundation of this successful community. The school and church remain separate entities although there is a joint church-school leadership committee to address issues that concern both parties.

Information in one of the reviews is inaccurate. The pastor does not run the preschool, an experienced and educated early childhood professional runs the school. The unfortunate incident that generated this negative review is now two years behind us & we have moved on. We have excellent teachers, engaged & committed parents & an age- appropriate, exciting program. If you would like to see for yourself, email us with your interest in our Open House on January 12, 2011.

BCNS is an excellent preschool. All three of my children have attended the school and have thrived. The teachers are superb and the extra programs and summer camp are wonderful. In 2008, the pastor made an terrible mistake hiring a registered sex offender (not a pedophile) as the building manager but, when the truth came out, the parents and church leadership acted swiftly and decisively in getting rid of the man. The fact that the school survived this crisis is a testament to the strength and commitment of the BCNS community.

If you ran a nursery school, would you hire a pedophile to work in the building during school hours?Well, the pastor of the church that runs this preschool did and then hid it from parents. The pedophile isn't there anymore but the pastor and church still operate the school. Even after this situation other safety questions parents have are being brushed aside.Until this I would have rated BCNS at 4 stars, we were very happy there. It's a shame what has happened to the school and maybe it can rebuild with a change in leadership. Until then, can't recommend.

We love it! Both our children attended for 3 years and we could not imagine a better, more welcoming, warmer place for them to spend their early years.
