I've been craving for a clean and tasty sashimi for a while now but the Japanese stores I frequented served salmon that had an icky taste. Thankfully I found Yuzu, and it redefined Japanese food for me. GOod job! It's the best of the best

It's rare to find a place where every single dish you have keeps topping the next one that arrives. Fortunately for me, and my tummy, I think I've found one!

Pros: Unique dishes
Cons: Hard to decide what to order!
This is a regular spot for me and my friends. The bartenders and owner are hospitable and friendly. Their specialty cocktails are delicious and the spicy edamame and fusion roll are a must!
5Great atmosphere, delicious rolls, and great selection of drinks. We really enjoy ourselves everytime we go to yuzu.
5My friend found this place on Yelp one day when we couldn't decide on a place to eat. We started ordering sake, toro, a few rolls.. fusion and this double spicy roll....spicy edamame goes great with beer and sake. The sake was excellent and they good selection for you to choose from. Fusion roll is shrimp tempura I believe wrapped with scallop... it just melts in your mouth...oh yes the toro melts in your mouth too. I forgot what's inside the double spicy but it's topped off with a slice of jalapeno, tobiko...if you like spicy this is your dish! we ended leaving 2 hours later very happy with a $120 bill which isn't bad at all.
Fast forward 2 years later... I'm still coming to this restaurant regularly. They've added a lot of new items to their menu since then but I think we've tried every item on the menu and haven't had a bad meal so far! Parking in this area is difficult but not impossible if you're patient.
It's a great spot if you stop off in the Marina to grab a snack and some $3 sake bombs before you head off into the Marina to bar hop. You'll find the bartender Jacky very friendly and occasionally you'll end up doing sake bombs with the owner Fred too. We usually sit at the bar... not sure why but it's funner when you can interact with the bartender. I agree with Candice S. it does seem to be a date place maybe because of how romantic the interior seems with all the dim lighting. Date place or not.... it's a fun restaurant and a place where you can expect to always have a good japanese meal. That's all that matters right?

A great place to start the night - couple of sushi rolls, some sake, some beer - and you are set for a night of debauchery in the marina. We keep coming back.
4I recently came to this yummy resturant with a friend. It was amazing! We ordered the green bean tempura fries that were too die for!!! You must try the spicy edamane - I have never had it like this -very tasty. The fusion & soft shell

Cons: not open 24/7
I don't mean to be a sushi snob, but heck maybe i am. We don't partonize those boat type sushi joints unless my 3 year old daughter is having her fit. With that being said, we ordered off the 'today's specials' list. Aji (spanish mackarel,

Pros: Fresh sushi, top notch drink menu, nice ambiance
Cons: Parking, prices add up quickly, sushi chefs have no personality
Even though we ate early (literally AS they opened at 6) in an entirely empty dining room, this place was great! Our waitress was excellent and her suggestions were spot on. All of the rolls were unique and delicious, especially the one

Pros: Rolls, Hitachino Ale
Cons: I don't live in San Francisco so I can't go more often!
I was about to go to Nake Fish around the corner since that's one of the sushi place I usually go when I crave for sushi. But then, I wanted to try somewhere different for a change and decided to give Yuzu a try since it's nearby. The

Pros: Excellent service, supreme sushi, creative presentation of sushi
Cons: Difficult to find Parking. A bit pricy for small portioned sushi, but still worth it.
My friends and I have come to crave a night a Yuzu... we just can't go more than a couple of weeks without it. It's true that you don't need soy or wasabi on the maki because the sauces and flavors are perfect. Favorites are the green

The atmosphere is nice. The food at Mas Sake (around the corner) is better, but this place is quieter and easier to get into on a weekend.

There is finally a better sushi place to go to than the options that are currently in the marina. Yuzu is the most authentic sushi place in the marina area, and one of my new favorite places. The service is spot on, the servers are

Wow, this is now my fave sushi spot! Their attention to detail, the quality of the seafood, how perfectly the sauces are paired with sushi, sashimi, and carpaccio dishes is pure perfection. They tell you that you don't really need wasabi

Pros: Freshness, flavor, Ambiance, loungy, Good looking crowd!
Cons: parking, crowded on weekends
Had a really good time. We loved the stylish ambience and the different areas--sake bar, sushi bar, etc. with just enough noise. Our order came at a good pace. Eating out is about being with friends and spending time together. Really

Yuzu is such a busy place on the weekends. People are just piling into this great restaurant. I have eaten at other sushi places in L.A and my average wait was about 2 hours for a table without a reservation and another wait to order. I

It took 2 1/2 hours to have a simple dinner for two on a Wednesday night. We were ready to order within minutes of being seated, but this didn't help. Worst of all, when the food arrived, it was disappointing - really odd food. The couple

I have been fortunate to travel the world, especially Japan, and have grown up in a family resturant business so I can say confidently that Yuzu is one of the best Japanese restaurants in San Francisco much less the world. It reminded me

We have just moved here from Southern California and while there are an abundance of sushi restaurants in the city, none of them have been that great. That is, until we tried Yuzu. We happened in there one night when we were turned away

The Sat night in March '06 that my friends & I went, service was terrible. You shouldn't wait 10-15min to be seated when there aren't other parties & there are at least 3 open, clean/set tables. There was a wait for the menu, a long wait

We love Yuzu's interior - with its high ceiling, ultra modern but comfortably chic interior, it reminds us of the hip eateries in Nolita or Meatpacking District in NYC!
The sushi & sashimi are exquisite - our favorite is the Himachi
