Da Bus (as it is commonly mocked) is Hawaii's public transit system. It is reliable and they have bike racks on the front of the bus to store you bike if you want to bring your bike with you. The fares have gone up again and is now two dollars. They do have bus passes that can be purchased in advance and there are discounts for seniors and students. The bus service is island wide so check out schedules and transfers.

Excellent public transportation, can be crowded at peak times - after and before work. It goes all over the island $2 each way. Schedules can be found at 7-11, and other places, they are helpful over the phone and will give detailed directions. Give yourself extra time, and take the "Express" buses if leaving the major Honolulu/Waikiki area.
