I was VERY pleased with my experience at Rokko Japanese Cuisine. You receive a warm welcome as you walk in, as you do when you walk out. Great service, never had an empty cup throughout my meal. The sushi is fairly priced, and the rolls are made to perfection. Recommend the Caterpillar, Fried spicy tuna roll, and the Phili roll. The restaurant and the restrooms are well maintained. Awesome experience, will dine here again soon.

I've been living in Downtown for over 10 years and I have seen many Japanese restaurants come and go over the years, and I have to say Rokko is one of the better ones that have managed to keep me coming back. Best times to go are before 11:30am and after 1:30pm to get the best service and cooked food. Lunch specials are decent sized portions for average prices, and their sushi is above average quality at reasonable prices.

I recently dined at Rokko Japanese Cuisine and was very pleased with the experience. The Food was excellent and reasonably priced, and the staff was friendly and attentive. I recommend it to others in the South Bay area who enjoy Japanese cuisine. I look forward to dining there again when I'm in the area.
BEWARE - They ripped me off or at least tried. I went and the service was awful. The food wasn't great either! I was there with only one other person (not like a big party) for lunch. I gave 10% tip because the service was horrible. The following day I was reviewing my bank acct and noticed that they added %5 to their tip. Not a big deal financially but it is the principle. That is stealing money in my book. If you choose to go and pay credit card. You better check your statement! I am filing a complaint!
Pros: None
Cons: They stole money from me. Added money to the tip on my credit card which i discovered after reviewing my statement.
Bad sushi, bad service, grossly over priced. You're better off getting buying sushi at Costco. Any place in SJ Japantown is going to have better food, service, for less
