This is a local favorite that has been around for awhile. They have excellent home-made ice cream, a fantastic staff that is fast and courteous, and reasonable prices. Of course, they also have insane sizes. A 1/4 kiddie is more than enough ice cream for most adults. I've seen the large served a couple of times (once, on a cone!) and quite frankly, it's just obnoxious. It has to be a gallon of ice cream if not more. Nevertheless, this is the place to go on a hot summer night because their ice cream is delicous. The lines are usually long, but the staff is always on their toes, so it moves quick.

Portions huge! If you are in the mood for ice cream (and lots of it!) Hodgies is the place to check out - personally would rather have a smaller ice cream, but the kids love it! Especially the Hodgies special (we get it once a year - 12 huge scoops of ice cream, toppings, etc - we get it the night before the last day of summer to commemorate back to school time...)

We LOVE Hodgie's. Beware....the PORTIONS are HUGE! We get one scoop and it's still really big! You will notice no cash registers...the kids that are hired are encouraged to use their math skills to work out all money exchanges, it's pretty cool to see!

Hodgies Is the best ice cream place to go! But the sizes are incredible. There is a reason that you have to order 1/4 kiddie! The Banana is sooo good. There are tons of flavors and they have special flavors. You can take 1/2 gallon to go. They have food too but to just go for the ice cream!

This place is about an hour from my house, but well worth the drive! I usually only get "1 Scoop" - maybe 2, but that is more than enough! It is all homemade and just great!

Order a 1/4 kiddie. That's about all an adult can eat, maybe a 1/2 kiddie. The large is crazy....Maybe 8 super scoops of icecream, it's about 1 foot high! Their icecream is delicious. Home made heaven and more flavors than Baskin Robbins.

This is a "must go" ice cream stand. They have more unique flavors than I could possibly list, and they constantly add more. They offer soft serve, homemade ice cream with a few no sugar added flavors, sorbet, sherbet and food. Be careful though, their idea of small isn't very small! If you haven't ever been here, you really need to go!! Try their "Monster Tracks," or if you prefer something healthier I recommend "Grapenut." Trust me, this is goooooood ice cream!

Hodgie's Rocks! The best icecream around. HUGE servings for a really reasonable price! You haven't had icecream unless you've eaten a Hodgie's Special! Eat up!
