Jason C....I must ask.....what friggin planet are you from? O'h wait...did you work for Cooperstown and get canned for a lousy attitude? Or...did the dog pee pee on your Cheerios this AM?
Our family returned from Cooperstown Dreams Park and I can tell any and all.....it was THEE experience of a lifetime, one that my sons and my husband and I will never, ever forget. It was truly a DREAM COME TRUE. I don't care WHERE the owners are from and nor would any of those boys that travel to come here...if they came from Pluto...they did a stellar job of providing youth from across the US, an opportunity to meet and play with other youth from all across the US, in the most amazing environment..that is not only pristine but the only baseball park I have ever felt my children were totally safe!! As far as the town goes...ok...so it's "Hartwick"...who cares? U think we all whipped out compasses and figured out longitude and latitudes to figure precisely where we were? As I recall, the big draw was the Hall of Fame and that quaint little town..so..skidaddle 2 miles down the road and call it what you will......but hey...don't speed... that's true in any town..don't speed or you'll get yourself into legal trouble..well...duh....Posted speed limit signs are there for a reason...in EVERY town. You really sounded like a spiteful, jealous child. I want the whole world to know...MY SON PLAYED AT COOPERSTOWN DREAMS PARK. WE STAYED 3 TIMES AT INCREDIBLE HOMES ON LAKES. WE LOVED THE TOWNS, SURROUNDING TOWNS AND ALL OF THE QUAINT STORES AND RESTAURANTS AND THE CIDER MILL. MY SON HAD THE TIME OF HIS LIFE! I AM FOREVER GRATEFUL TO THE PEOPLE WHO CREATED THIS LITTLE PIECE OF BASEBALL HEAVEN ON EARTH. IF ANYONE HAS THE OPPORTUNITY TO GO TO COOPERSTOWN DREAMS PARK ....GO GO GO!! YOU WILL NOT BE DISAPPOINTED. IT WAS THE MOST INCREDIBLE FAMILY VACATION WE HAVE BEEN ON IN YEARS AND WE ARE A WELL TRAVELLED FAMILY FROM MANY EXOTIC US ISLANDS TO EUROPE... COOPERSTOWN DREAMS PARK WAS AN AMAZING EXPERIENCE. ANY QUESTIONS? CONTACT US, WE'D BE HAPPY TO SHARE ALL OF OUR CDP KNOWLEDGE!

My other kids had a blast too. They loved the cider mill and the boat ride on the lake. They absolutely had the time of their lives playing Wild West laser tag at the miniature golf course right next to the dreams park (not the one down the road a bit-that one was in bad shape). We ended up spending a lot of time there- The Barnyard- really fun. Overall, a period in our family life that we will never forget.

Wake up people this Dreams Park is not in Cooperstown but Hartwick. The roads, and the housing are not sufficient in this area to handle this many teams or people in a week. Thus a constant crowd.Locals rip you off for almost two grand a week by renting you houses. You would be much better off renting yourself an RV and staying in a local campground, or getting a hotel room, if you must come. The locals get pissed too when you break the speed limit thru villages and rudely use their little league and high school fields just because you feel like it. So be courteous to these people and obey the rules or you could find yourself in a little legal hot water. Dreams Park teams pay to play in Hartwick and is run by people from North Carolina. Sounds to me like a little white lie is being sold to you suckers. In a nut shell you may as well save your money and stay home to play. No matter what they bill it, it IS NOT Cooperstown but the Hartwick Dreams Park.

I came here last summer as a chaperone for the South San Francisco Fog Tournament team for the 12 year olds. It is a beautiful park. It has 15 diamonds and the dorms house more than 15 per team 96 teams that came from all over the US and Canada. It was one of the most memorable summer I have ever spent. The best part was watching my son play his heart and soul.

I have been so fortunate to be a part of a dream that my son has had since he was 7 years old. Last summer my son played for the South San Francisco Fog for the Little Majors Invitational at Cooperstown Dreamspark. It was an experience that will last with me for as long as I live. Words cannot explain watching your son live his dream even if it was for 7 days.

I watched my brother play baseball all his life. In fact it was like a family outing being that he is the only boy and being the youngest at that! Last summer my brothers dream came true by being picked for the South City Fog team to compete a week long tournament in Cooperstown dreams park. It was my brothers dream come true to be a little major leaguer. He played his heart out each and everytime he stepped into the beautifully landscaped diamond. This place is a dream come true for the boys and girls who is lucky enough to be a part of this wonderful experience.

PROS: once in a life time experience
CONS:

Cooperstoen Dream Park is a dream come true for any young baseball players. It is a National Tournament and players get to play two games a day and be surrounded by other kids who love baseball. The owner Lou is the greatest guy- he is really vinto it for the kids.

Headquartered in N.C. The Dream Park is outside of Cooperstown, N.Y. Every summer they hold weekly baseball tournaments for 96 teams - they have a GREAT opening ceremony and closing ceremony - the teams play 2 games a day for 4 days - the kids have a lot of fun interacting with other kids from all over the U.S. My Granddaughter has played on the only girl's team invited to play - she has played the last 2 summers - this year they won their first game - she had a GREAT time and was very upset when we had to head home. A GREAT experience for young (10-12 years old) baseball players and one of those experiences that they will never forget - Totally Awesome
