Larkin's

Delightful clean Southern Food served in a charming Craftsman cottage. I have had the fried chicken and it is pretty perfect, not greasy at all and crisp on the outside and juicy on the inside. Red velvet cupcake was yummy and overall vibe is relaxing.

Larkin's food is a blend of southern old recipes with California influence. The ingredients are purchased fresh locally and many dishes carry extra spices.

Lakin's open in 2007 and is located in a classic remodeled house on Colorado Blvd. The decorations are artistic and comfortable. There is indoor and patio seating.

Parking is limited (4 spots in the back), There is some street parking, if crowded I recommend going around the corner.

It can get crowded on the weekend - the prices are reasonable and the food is wonderful - crowds are the natural consequence. As of Oct 2007, you have to bring you own wine or beer.
