I love this place! I've gone several times now because I can't get enough of the Infusion drinks or their wine. I would suggest saving room for dessert because it's all delicious! In addition, the customer service is always outstanding. I love the menu choices, and even though some of it is expensive, there are still some modest choices.

Overall, one of the definite hot spots in Atlanta and a "must-see" visit for good American food in a trendy old warehouse with lots of style. The live music at night completes the scene for me too.

Lastly, I highly recommend making reservations cause it gets packed!

If you have some family or friends coming in from out of town, take them here! Its a fun place! I thought the food was good but the atmosphere was great.

Pros: food and scene

Cons: crowded every time Ive been there

Do not waste your time.
YOu cannot hear anything even at your table. The live music competes with piped in music.
The calamari is worse than food court chinese food. The pork shoulder is a hunk of fat with too salty bites of meat. It was totally disgusting. The skirt steak was supposed to be medium and came out like it was never even attempted to be cooked. Dont waste your time or money. This place IS THE WORST WORST WORST
I was excited to go, my parents came in to town and we took them there. It was their worst meal they have ever had in Atlanta for 150 bucks. Seriously, i was naseous for days after being served A HUNK OF FAT ON MY PLATE. Plus this so called rotesserie doesnt even exist!

Went with a group of forty. Service was fast, efficient and friendly. Mark, our waiter was awesome. Bar service was excellent, atmosphere was trendy and chic. Waiters and waitresses very prompt with refilling bar drinks as well as making sure water glasses were filled. Food was very well prepared although it might be too spicy for some. Dress was casual although there were some suits present. Very pleasant dining experience. Would recommend highly.

I was out and about reviewing restaurants to take a group of friends from out of town and visited this place during the day. The staff was more than eager to show me around from the courtyard dining area to the huge spit in the middle of the restaurant, everything took urban chic to a new level. The next week, Two became a hit with my friends as the food was prepared perfectly. The wine on tap and infused liquor are major plusses as well!

I took family in from out of town for a nice meal in a trendy ATL restaurant. The food was all good to better, the wine list is always interesting, but the service is down right atrocious. Service was unattentive, and management was actually rude. If the service matched the ambiance and food quality TWO would be worth return visits, but the overbearing theme of "you want to be here to be like me and you'll accept any inconvenience just to be seen" is not worth the trouble. Go on a week night to miss the "it" crowd and hope for a better experience.

After reading the reviews I was a little skeptical but I like first hand knowledge. I met a group there and the experience was much better than anticipated. The valet parking went off with no problems. I met my party at the bar, ordered and received my drink promptly (very friendly bartender). Once everyone is our party arrived we were seated and our waiter went over the menu with us and took our orders. Our food came very quickly. Overall everything was good...very spicy but good.

Two Urban Licks has an incredible atmosphere and contrary to what other reviews say, our service was perfect. The servers went out of their way to accomodate our party of 18 people, the food arrived in a timely manner, and the staff was very friendly. As expected from most trendy restaurants the portions were small but the food itself was nice. It's also a great place to go for drinks and live music. Don't be swayed by negative reviews, try it! I'll definitely be going back!

My Yellow Fin Tuna was sinewy and my date's Swordfish was overcooked. Also, we had to wait to be seated, despite having reservations, then drinks at the bar were Manhatten prices and poured weak.

I really loved this place! I read all the negative reviews posted here, but for my family and I, it was wonderful. We made reservations on OpenTable.com, and when we arrived, we did have to wait about 20 minutes, but when we were seated, we got a great booth! I had the prime rib, which was cut like a filet, and was exceptionally good. My mom got the pork shoulder and macncheese, which was incredible! Our server was attentive and the atmosphere was great too. It was pretty loud, and the hostess was snotty, but overall great place...

We came from South Carolina and were expecting a casual dining experience. We were wrong, but pleasantly surprised. This place is very hip and the food was great. I had the prime rib and the carrot cake, I highly recommend it. The place is beautiful and you're constantly amazed you're in the South. Great job!

Pros: Excellet Food, Well priced

Our company had a dinner here and we had family style appetizers which we paid person, but each table did not receive enough for each person to have one. We were told that we could only have our table for 2 1/2 hours and then we would have to leave for another party that was coming in and if we didn't we will would be charge an additional amount. Not very group friendly and the portion were extremely small for the amount of money we paid.

Two is a hidden treasure. You drive into a non- discript warehouse which only adds to the surprise when you walk in the door... then, wow! Its elegant, its funky, its casual, its fancy.
The view of the city skyline encompases the entire glass wall in the back of the restaurant and the food is comforting, new, and portions are filling. I think i just may have to go once a week!

A friend took me to Two Urban Licks so we could test it out, since she wanted to throw a party there. Well that party will never happen at this place. We sat at the bar and thought we would test a few of the barrel wines and the appetizers. Getting the 2 bartenders attention was exhausting.. when at most there were about 5 other people at the bar! They would walk by and not even look up. I asked if we could order a glass of wine and was given an extremely rude sarcastic response back. After 2 hours of this horrible service we had decided that we needed to talk to the manager. The manager was polite but it was obivous she could have cared less and would side with her inept employees. Believe me I will tell anyone not to go there, it was infuriating.

the owner of two urban licks missed out on a big part of running a restaurant, which begins with good managers. my family and i were recently celebrating a birthday at this place, which was a mistake. after slow service, overlooked drink orders, and total choas, we had a major discrepancy with the total bill cost. we had two managers at our table trying to discuss this matter which was useless because no one could hear each other anyway. we pointed out where the bills were incorrect, the manager threw the bill on the table in anger, and we were stuck paying for the many mistakes made by the wait staff and managers. the place is great if you want to do nothing but yell and get hammered with your friends, but for a first class night out, you'd be better off getting a chili slaw dog at the Varsity.

Two weekends ago I went to T.U.L and was told that it would be a 2 ? hour wait for a table so we decided to eat at the bar. 15 minutes later they called saying our table was ready. I didnt understand why we were told such an extended wait time, only to be called shortly thereafter. Overall I felt mixed about experience. It was extremely loud, crowded, and the food was mediocre. This past Saturday I decided to give the restaurant another chance. I CALLED AHEAD to make a reservation for 11pm and was told that it wouldnt be a problem at that time, just come in. Upon arriving at the restaurant 20 minutes later, we were told that there would be a 45 minute wait. This was totally unacceptable so we decided to leave. I have been quite unimpressed by the level of service at T.U.L.

A party of 5 of us celebrated my brother's 23rd birthday. As soon as we walked in we were led straight to our table. Our waiter was right there to great us and take our drink order. Our first time there he patiently answered all our questions and explained the menu. As the lighting is dim at dinner time, my grandmother had a hard time seeing but our waiter patiently read and described the various entres and recommended favorites. Everyone's dinner was cooked to perfection. The atmosphere is great. IT is a great place for a family (no children were with us) as well as being a great place for a group of friends to enjoy cocktails. I highly recommend this place. The chef rotates the menu. The only negative is that if you have a favorite item, it may or may not be on the menu when you return.

We sat by the kitchen, and I was amazed at the speedy service. My criticism for my first visit was that NONE of the food is marinated. The sauce for any dish is just slapped on there, and has no contact with any of the other food until it is on the plate. This means that a lot of the meats/seafood is pretty dry if you get a bite away from the sauce. My next visit, I went with a bachelorette party. The service was TERRIBLE. None of our food came out on time, and we were forced to physically go to the bar to get our drinks (which we were admonished for by our waitress). It was a party of 15, and she didn't give us separate checks. Our reservations were at 9:30, and we didn't get out until almost one, not b/c we were having a great time.

Our table of 12 was given to us only after all had arrived. We all arrived at the same time, but the valet was so congested half the party was waiting in the line of traffic out front. I ordered a "thief" of wine, their name for a carafe. It was white, but was room-temperature warm, which explained why the server placed carafe into bucket with ice. I asked why wine was warm and she snapped back "we serve it at Napa Valley standards.Warm." The appetizers and the entrees were so overly seasoned that they were hard to eat. I asked our server to place a birthday candle in the signature cupcake platter, "we don't have birthday candles, the owner thinks they are tacky. We usually just buy the customer the dessert." At this point I almost lost it...she saw my frustration and mysteriously produced a candle.

The valet parking was great as it had started to rain. We did a girls night out and had a wonderful time. We sat at the back window and were in awe of the skyline view. The food was on time and wonderfully unique. We recommended it to our co-workers the next day.

To make a long story short, dont go to Two Urban Licks unless you like wearing your dinner home! We recently went with a party of 6 for my birthday and after waiting over an hour for a our food the waitress lost her balance and dropped my husbands entire meal on my back. The plate shattered and I was left with his scalding dinner on my back, down my pants and all over my $300 purse. The manager only offered to pay the dry cleaning for my shirt. Finally after much discussion they ended up paying for my meal however did not waive the charges for anyone else...even though their food got cold while waiting for them to clean up the spill!

I was apprehensive after reading other reviews, but we were invited for a party and went with a group of 10 with a 9pm reservation.
The hostess wasn't good(incorrect information), but we were seated on time and served promptly.

We took the advice of others and ordered two small plates each instead of an entree, and we were glad we did. We particularly enjoyed the mussels and the squash blossoms. Some of our friends did not enjoy their entrees, which cost more than our two appetizers.

I like trying different wines so I really enjoyed the ability to order half glasses for $3-4. Our friend that tried the infused drink also enjoyed it. We had great service, I don't know if we were lucky or it's because we were a large party. The covered valet entrance is nice and the valet service was also efficient. I'd go back.

Interesting idea...open kitchen is likely best feature. Extremely loud (ears are still ringing), expect to repeat yourself. After an hour of yelling, I gave up and talked only to my neighbor. Ordered the bbq shrimp...server told me they were peel and eat - which was ok. However, they weren't beheaded. I asked the server to please have someone behead them, he looking at me as if I told him to wash my feet. After long silence, my table mate finally offered. The shells refused to come off...had to take off hunks of meat with shell...mangled. Mangled shrimp tasted like a tire. Table mates said their dinners were good. Scallops(only 3), brisket, and bass were reported as being good. The 'stack' was divine. Even if my food had been good, will never go back. To loud. Seemed more about 'scene' than food.

or a couple spoonfuls. my friend's food was very salty, and i had heard similar complaints from others before going. service was slow but professional, and my fried green tomatoes and red snapper were well above average. great pina colada as well, and the wine selection is decent. i was a little put off by the fact that they were served in tumblers though...overall i liked the food and had a great experience. however, i've heard that they are very inconsistent and that to me is almost as bad as being consistently subpar...i would recommend asking the server for their recommendations as he steered us away from things that he opined against.

Overall the concept was very cool - atmosphere, food/wine concept etc. We were promptly seated with our reservation and began sampling our way through the menu. Here is where things got mixed - the descriptions of the food sounded great but then the execution was lacking on about half of everything we ordered. In the end this left a half sour "taste in our mouths." The server indicated they changed a majority of the menu every day so we will give it another try to see if the consistency improves.

I made my reservation at 9:00. We were seated at 9:45. The server explained the concept, including their kegs of wine purchased directly from the Vineyard. The wine turned out to be a 1/2 carafe of wine for $24 with bubbles in it. It was as if it was still fermenting. We placed our starters order. While we were finishing our starters, she then came by to inform us they were out of every single plate we had ordered and there were now only three choices left. Once I received my braised brisket, it was barely warm and dry, dry, dry. I was sure the manager would take care of some portion of the bill or offer a dessert. We received the bill and no gesture had been done. Disappointing. No manager was in site. Sorry, but I won't go back.

I made my reservation at 9:00. We were seated at 9:45. The server explained the concept, including their kegs of wine purchased directly from the Vineyard. Pros: Decorations, atmosphere, trendy

Cons: food, wine, management

My family went there for a graduation dinner, 21 people (8 under the age of 10)! The service was very accomodating, especially when ordering for the kids. The food was absolutely fantastic, everyone had a clean plate at the end of the meal. We were seated promptly. I would recommend, however, calling to confirm your reservation. Ours was almost lost, but the staff was very helpful in making sure we could all come at the original date and time. Also, make sure you check out the view from the back patio. I can't wait to go back!!

Good luck with your reservation! We had one and still didn't get in...ultimately due to the poor customer service of the management and staff. Only after we decided to leave did a manager apologize and find a table for us. At that point it was too late, literally! I have heard the food is good -- but the service was not worth the wait!

I made a reservation for 8 on a Tuesday to celebrate my boyfriend's graduation. It took our server more than 5 minutes to greet us and more than 15 to bring our cocktails. She also brought me the wrong drink. We ordered dinner from a list of only 10 entrees. She then returns to tell me that they have ran out of what I ordered. I picked another dish.. they were also out of that. Out of the 10 choices, only 4 were red meat, which is what I wanted. They ran out of two of those. So instead of ordering something I didn't want, we left. I was also disappointed that our server, working in such an upscale, trendy restaurant, did not tell management that she had an upset table walking out without eating. Our special night ended on a sour note. We will not return.

Pros: view, ambiance

We had an ok experience. The biggest problem was that we went for a nice, special occasion dinner and we were served too fast - out in about 1 hour. It was a rushed dining experience. The appetizers are excellent but our entrees were a little cold and drenched in oil and butter. Server was not very knowledgeable about wine.

Pros: Fun Atmosphere, View, Appetizers

Cons: Careless service, Uneven food, Not romantic

Waited for 1 hour for reservations made 5 weeks in advance. Drinks - was that a cosmo??, mojito - peppermint schnapps with ice, room temp chard came in water glass along with room temp water (european?). Appetizers were OK and small. Two people in our group had the touted pork shoulder which was tasteless and unappealingly diplayed with a side of seemed like "easy mac". Scallops were average. Brisket was the fattiest piece of meat I have ever seen. Apparently could not see "the view" from my table. Do not recommend and would not go back again.

Pros: people watching

Cons: crowded, loud, food

...go for the views. Both the views of the city and of the scene are great. The food and service are terrible. Have tried it twice and both times was tremendously disappointed. Reservations were late, appetizers came out after the main course and drinks were poorly mixed. Noise level was so loud that you couldn't hear anyone at the other side of the table. There are plenty of restaurants with great food and service - save this place for people watching.

Went on a Saturday night at 9 PM, seated about 9:15 (cool bar and specialty drinks too). Great view overlooking the city from the bar and our table. Highly recommend the crab fritters and the scallops (probably the best I've ever had). Great food at a great price with service to match! Next time in Atlanta, I'll be stopping in again.

Was there for a business dinner - the waiter was friendly and had good knowledge about everything on the menu. All courses were at a high standard - innovative & great taste. I tried the tuna tartarte - very tasty and for entre their fish special - again, well prepared and great flavors. All my companions enjoyed their meals as well. The atmosphere & ambiance in the restaurant is really good. A little bit hard to find for non-locals but worth it.

Go to have fun and you wont be disappointed. Go to enjoy a quiet meal, and you wont know what hit you. Two Urban Licks is a wild mix of Night Club decor anchored in the middle by an open kitchen. Good loud music, good-looking loud people is what this place is all about.

The food is excellent. The lamb lollipops and calamari made great appetizers. Surprisingly good fried green tomatoes with avocado and crab were a first for me. Flame roasted duck made for an ideal entree.

Finally, TWO is an incredible value. Most appetizers are $5 - $8 and the entrees are $15 -$22. Our tab of 2 people was less than $100. Amazing!

We had a reservation for a Tuesday night at 7:00 and were seated promptly in one of the nice booths with all the comfy pillows. The decor was hip & trendy. It was pretty dark in some places in the dining room. The candles didn't put out much light, and I'm sure some people had a hard time seeing their food. Not near as over rated as I thought it was going to be. We were all happy with our meals and dessert. If you went with a large group of people, it would be impossible to hear one another. Stick to dining there with 2 to 4 people.

Having read reviews, I was skeptical. However, other than a slightly snooty and somewhat inattentive waiter, we had a fantastic experience. We were promptly seated at prime time on a Friday, and when we didn't like ourtable placement, the hostess courteously moved us. Of the appetizers, the oysters were the best. The calamari & ribs were fine, but not that unusual. I had the scallops and grits, which were good if nothing too exciting. I wish i'd gotten the halibut cheeks, which a friend had, and which looked wonderful. Another friend had the duck and thought it was great, but was disappointed that they refused to substitute his presentation. Obviously, the kitchen assembles plates en masse, not as ordered. The desserts rocked, though, and the fabulous banana creme pie with peanut butter and white chocolate is like sex. The prices weren't too bad and the infused liquor drinks were yummy.

Recently I tried to eat here again, I say tried as I took a friend for an 8pm reservation which was booked in advance; we waited PAST 9pm in an over-crowded bar full of other unfortunate/hungry diners. Wait staff were busy, it was like we were in their way. I opted for a white wine, BIG mistake. That was completely undrinkable as it was sloshed from the barrel tap to where it was fizzy, served warm in a totally inappropriate glass, yuck! When we decided to leave, the host said that our table would be ready "soon" as our names were on the chalk board queue! We thanked her but left anyway. Valet took additional 15-minutes to get our car. TWO is a trendy space but is it too hip to enjoy a decent dining experience sometimes you just want to go out to enjoy dinner.

Being a married 40 year old father of two from the burbs I had my suspicions about Two: Urban Licks being a "see and be seen" flash in the pan that is the hot place du jour. After my experience I would change my synopsis to "see and be seen but not pretentious, inovative design, excellent food, and great service."

The bartenders and waitstaff gave friendly (let me emphasize that again - FRIENDLY) which seems to be a true rarity in Atlanta these days where rude, condescending service people seem to be the norm.

We had calamari which had an uncharacteristic taste and some sort of salmon and caper topped chips for an appetizer. For the entree two of us had the brisket which was so tender it fell to pieces once touched by the fork, and the other had the pork shoulder. All were top notch.

We loved the room - soaring ceiliengs, gas lights, huge crimson Japanese lanterns, the open kitchen - all amazing. The food was good, but not the best we've had. Stick to the appetizers and the wonderful wines and drinks. The wait staff were so nice and accomodating.
Overall a great date place and the food is fine although not stellar.

This is the perfect place to go for fun, live blues and food and libation sampling. If you want a quiet dinner, go to Joel. If you are uptight, stuffy, impatient, or want to be fawned over, Two Urban Licks is not for you. Try The Ritz Carlton Dining Room.
So, if you are open to a great time, start with an infused cocktail in the suave zen garden. I have to say that the small plates outshine the bigger ones. Sample great starters: the stack, fried green tomatoes, crab and avocado, and some fresh oysters. Have a few half glasses of wine. The cupcake trio is a fun dessert. Remember, life is too short for hollow complaints. HAVE FUN!

Reservations meant nothing. Prime rib was ordered as rare, served well done, which is horrifying. They refused to cook prime rib properly and I had to wait to eat and order the tuna which was mediocre. I watched my friends finish their meals at a b/day party. It was a bad scene. I seriously doubt I'll be back.
