Bob Sykes Barbeque Inc

My dad has been taking me here since I was a little kid and my grandma would always bring it to DC when she would visit from 'bama. This place is top notch when it comes to BBQ. The sauce is amazing. The slow cooked BBQ is great too. I love their sweet tea and the staff is ultra nice and welcoming. This place gets packed during lunch and dinner but it is well worth the wait in line. And the pie... I cannot forget about the pie. YUM!

They have the best ribs and pies in town. The staff is so friendly, they never make you feel rushed even though the place is always packed. They have a wide selection of sides. My favorite is to pick up the feeds 5, which includes a gallon of tea, after a hard days work and supper is done.

This is a "must try" if you are in the Birmingham area. There used to be several locations, but this is the original. This is a "serve yourself" atmosphere. Great BBQ! Sauce is tangy, not sweet.

Meat is cooked too fast over blaze. Need to slow down cooking to ensure tender meat.

The aroma will draw you and the service will keep you return and the favor will have you wanting more. I visit from the Cali and made Bob Sykes a place to return to when in Bessemer. My father's home town. The southern hospitality is wonderful

If you ever want good BBQ ribs at a decent price, I would go to Bob Syke's. The sauce is great. Service is a little slow but the food is always good.
