I have been going to this spa for years and find it to be head and shoulders above any other spa I have tried. Mary Ann does my nails and she is knowledgeable, clean and professional beyond words. It turns out sanitation is extremely

My girlfriend bought me a trip to improve my hairstyle. This horrible little guy "styled" my hair without following any requests I made. It was disappointing, overpriced, and I felt like he was hitting one me.

I went to the Red Door Spa for a Brazilian wax. This was my first time to get a wax there, I went because they were running a special during spa week and it is 5 minutes from work. So, I went on my lunch break and 15 minutes after my appointment was supposed to start, Shilpa took me back to get started. Let's just say the wax did not fit the criteria of a Brazilian and was the worst wax I have ever had (a friend of mine used to work there and said this is common because they hate doing Brazilians) I was already running late for work and didn't have time to deal with her incompetence. So the next day I called and spoke to the assistant manager Stephanie. She apologized and said they need to get me right back in there to fix it. I declined, because I did not have time and the next day my skin was still burning. I'm pretty sure that is not normal. She said she could not give me my money back but would see what she could do and would call me back that night. Two days later I called her and she said she could give me a discount on a service. She said she would call me back to schedule something. I am still waiting on the call...

Cons: Bad customer service, did not get the spa service I requested

Worst experience EVER. I??ve been going to this spa for over 7 YEARS. The last 2-3 times I went it was a JOKE. I asked for a medium warm brown, the first couple times it was applied it was beautiful. All of a sudden the colorist turned it black by mixing it with another color THAT I NEVER ASKED FOR. Then when I made an appointment to address the situation they only give me a 30-minute appointment for a process that takes well over 2 hours. Two trips later and they finally fixed the situation, but not with a very good attitude. A couple weeks later my mother was due for touch ups, highlights, and a cut. They AGAIN mess up the scheduling and don??t have enough time for the cut, so last minute they called and told us we needed to be in an hour early to do the cut and blow-dry before the color, which made no sense at all considering that the technician would be gone by the time the color was finished! Wet hair for 300+? I don??t think so. We decided to go in to the appointment anyway. This is when it got down right ridiculous. WORST HAIRCUT EVER. It looked like a weed-wacker got a hold of a beautiful head of hair. The experience was already going down hill..and fast. We then went to the color room to find out that they had added on and extra 80+ dollars to the price of the color treatment due to a touch up that we were told was not necessary and that "It would be included in the highlight price if it wasn??t grow out over an inch." By this point we were ready to leave and never come back. The entire staff was rude, and not helpful in the least. The entire time we are going through this fiasco nobody asked us if we would like a cold beverage (water or cranberry juice) not the manager, the hair technician, the colorist, the girls at the front desk that are there to just take up space; no one. This was once a very classy spa in the Dallas area, now I think more of a homeless on the side of the street with a pair of scissors. A couple days later we felt it was necessary to contact the manager about this situation she really had nothing to say except for a couple ??Oh??s? and ??I??m sorry??s?, which did no good what-so-ever my mother still sitting there with roots and grown off highlights and only half a head of hair. The manager continued to say how she would see about a refund for the hair cut and NEVER returned a call. Such a good manager huh?!? If you want a beautiful cut and color I WOULD NOT advise this place. For someone that had been attending this spa for over seven years should NEVER be treated this way, I feel disrespected and robbed of my money.

Pros: Pretty Spa

Cons: Staff needs to be trained how how to treat people

I love this spa... it is everything you desire when you think of a relaxing spa experience. There is a sitting room with juice and fruit while you wait for services and the staff is very friendly and accomodating. The services I have enjoyed tremendously. Definitely the way to go.

PROS: Staff and amenities
CONS: kinda pricy

I also went to the Red Door Salon for a hair color. I thought because the prices were higher, the results would be fantastic. WRONG. I really wasn't that pleased with it, and then I ended up feeling upset that it cost so much. I would recommend that you not try this salon. At least not while the prices are so outrageous.

I went to the Red Door Salon in preparation for my wedding. I have to say that I've gotten a better manicure and pedicure at many no-name strip mall locations. You wouldn't think so given the name Elizabeth Arden and the amount that they charge. I haven't gotten any other services since, because of the quality of service I experienced.

I specified for facials because the rest of their services are overpriced with only so-so results. The facials I get there are wonderful, though, and I've gone to my aesthetician for 4+ years and she's awesome. Their service in general is really good. They know how to pamper you there, but for services like mani/pedi, you're better off going to a reliable nail salon. This spa has a nice atmosphere, though and great makeup artists.
