Bothell pet hospital has taken care of our pets for 18 years, longer that my kids have had a doctor ! LOL
nice people who care !
Having been in the military for 24 years, and had pets for at least 22 years of that time. I have been to many vets. Pricing is relative to the knowledge of your vet, the complexity of the procedure, treatment, or exam, and the brand/quality of the medication or vaccine. There is the cost of staff, the building, equipment, etc. with some profit factored in. (By the way, most vets charge more to spay a female animal, due to the complexity of cutting into a body cavity, vice removing an appendage). The Bothell Pet Hospital has come recommended by several other vets (some personal friends of mine), and I find everyone there concerned, helpful, efficient, knowledgable, and enthusiastic.

Dr Kovar is AWESOME!! She gives 100% to each and every patient. She is also very knowledgeable with parrots and has a distinct way of connecting to them which makes treatment less stressful and I end up with a happy, healthy bird. I highly recommend her for all your veterinary needs....

My Fiance has been going to Bothell Pet Hospital for the past 10 years with all her animals - they have been absolutely wonderful! Now, even though we live an hour south, we still bring our 2 cats and 2 dogs in to them! Even the newest member of the family, our big German Shepherd Juno - has been going there since she was a puppy, and is soooo excited when we pull up to see them - that's how well they treat the animals!
If we have any questions and need to call with even the most menial of concerns - The front desk staff is always super friendly and caring on the phone and they are very quick at following up with returning phone calls.
I cannot say enough about how great they are!

I have been taking my various dogs and cats to Bothell Pet Hospital since the late 70's, and no matter where I moved to, I still drove to Bothell for their care. Without question Bill, Leslie are amazing vets. Their compassion, knowledge and professional care of animals is beyond words.I would recommend them and the clinic without a doubt, and I have done so many times. With regards costs/expenses for animals, the answer is very easy. If you get unbelievable care and good medical results, then it doesn't matter what it costs. If it does, DON'T get a pet.

I have been coming to Bothell Pet Hospital for over 15 years now. Previously with our family cocker-spaniel and now with my year old chihuahua. Although their prices may increase every year, as do most businesses do with their prices, they are one of the better vets around that still provide a QUALITY service with lower (mind you not LOWEST) rated around. I used to live in Redmond and when I went in for just a visit/checkup, they charged me $68. Not to mention the fees for shots etc. When it came time to spay my pup they were going to charge me over $500 for everything. I hate to say it but I'm a 21 year old student and I don't think Bothell's prices are sky high. $100 something dollars for your pet's health is very reasonable especially for the service they provide. My old roomate is a vet technician and she could no longer what she thought were sky high prices for her yorkie (mind you they weren't very much different from "sky high" prices of $100+/$12 shots) so she went to a place that offered cheap prices. All her dog went in for was a teeth cleaning and a week later his stomach was bloated. Turns out whatever they gave him caused his stomach to fill up with fluid and a week after that, he was dead. So when you think you're paying SKY HIGH prices for your precious pooch, remember the saying, "You get what you pay for." While other places may be cheaper, they may not give you the quality service your pet needs. If $100 something bucks/$12 shots once a year is too much for you...you probably shouldn't have a pet...

Two weeks ago I made the heartbreaking decision to euthanize my 14 year old Chow/Golden Ret. friend. We were blessed to have Dr. Cleveland as attending vet. He was extremely kind, patient and sympathetic. He sat on the floor with us, shed a few tears with us, and showed tremendous compassion for my beloved friend. He was gentle in his actions, and comforting to my two adult sons and myself. I am relatively new to the Bothell area, and am so thankful I was referred to the Bothell Pet Hospital by a neighbor. I have found the clinic staff to be most helpful and friendly. I highly recommend Bothell Pet Hospital to anyone wanting the best care for their pet.

We have had several great experiences at Bothell Pet Hospital.
Our 1y/o labradoodle's primary care doctor is Dr. Shannon Smith. She is smart, compassionate, measured in her care, and has a great bed-side manner with our high-energy dog.
Dr. Smith comes into the room fully prepared and obviously reviews chart notes ahead of time. She spends time listening to our concerns and enjoys our full confidence in the care choices she makes.
We also have great things to say about the other doctors and staff. The people at this clinic are top notch.

I have been taking my 4 rat terriers to Bothell Pet Hospital since early 2005 at the time their office visit was $32.00 their current office visit is $45.00 a 40% increase in the last 3 years. I recently took one of my females in for a spay July 2007 it cost $229.00 I went to take my other female in today the new cost $309.00 a 35% increase in just 3 months. I did some checking around today an even though they might be good Vets, they are pricing themselves out of the market. I can no longer afford to pay $180.00 to take my dogs in for a $12.00 shot. Their fees are SKI HIGH

When I had dogs as well as cats, I took all my pets to this veterinary hospital. The vets I know who are still there are Dr. Cleveland (owner) and Dr. Kovar. What I really liked about the clinic was the helpfulness of the front office staff and the caring approach of the vets. A couple of times, my animals had serious problems, and all four vets (at that time; now there are three) consulted on the best treatment plans.
About six years ago, my last dog died, and I switched to a cats-only practice because the fact that Bothell Pet Hospital has all animals come into a common waiting room was distressing to my three cats. However, should I ever again have dogs, I would switch back.
Prices here were reasonable, and I always felt my pets' problems were taken very seriously and given compassionate thought.
PROS: Great vets who care; nice and efficient front office; fair prices
CONS: Cats and dogs in the same waiting room

They provide excellent care for your cats. We had our cat neutered and they kept him overnight. The fees are in line with most other vets, maybe even a little less. They don't do any procedures that you don't authorize. They really care about your pet. Very friendly staff.
