We lived there for three years. Things started out OK, and the location was a draw. The management was rarely responsive or helpful, and the maintenance was always a joke, just putting band-aids on things (it took them months before they finally replaced a broken toilet that they kept trying to fix an we'd asked them to replace the whole time). The grounds are very nice, including a fitness room, pools, and lots of open space outside, but they never shovel snow, letting it turn to ice, which is very dangerous, especially for the many older residents. In any event, from year 1 to 2 they didn't raise the reasonable $1,299 monthly rent on our 3-bdrm, 3-floor townhouse, and year 2 to 3 they raised it $25 a month, which is fine. Then the problems started. Year 3 to 4 they tried to raise us $250 a month (cheap compared to some of our friends in Berkshires). We haggled them down by $75, but it was still exorbitant. So we started to look into houses, and eventually found one. On their "final walk-through" (which, of course, they forgot about and were very late to), they said that they had no problems and would charge us no fees, which was confirmed when we called them afterward. That was before we got an $800 bill. We called them five times to discuss the matter and left messages each time, but they only called back once with no real information - until we were called by a collection agency, whom we had to pay immediately over the phone, without any due process, to save our credit rating. Avoid this complex, and its dishonest and duplicitous management. at all costs.

I would definitely agree with the other reviews. The management is a joke, a bunch of incompetent jerks. There are a lot of immigrants that live here and the staff feels that because of that fact they can screw anyone over and nothing will ever come back on them.
There is a major parking problem here if you get home after 7 there are no spots available so the property managers idea for that problem is to hire a towing company to sneak in at 3am and haul off any car they like no matter if you are parked legal or not! I understand towing from fire lanes and handicap spots or abandoned/unregistered vehicles but a legal vehicle right out of a parking spot is low.
There is trash everywhere maintenance only cleans the grounds once a year, tons of geese pooping everywhere, dog poop everywhere, I live on the first floor and there are thousands of cigarette butts around my patio from the 6 floors above me.
There was mold in the shower when I moved in and I still have not been able to remove all of it. I think I have developed a bacterial infection in my lungs from it.
If maintenance shows up they are immediately trying to get out of doing anything. They wouldnt fix my leaky faucets because "that would require shutting off the water to the whole building" and never showed up the other two times I called.

Don't do it. The grounds are nice enough - or would be if they cleaned up the goose poop and plowed/shoveled sufficiently. The pools are nice and the exercise room is so-so. That's about it for the good. If you need to be here for the location, I guess go for it but if you have any other option, take it. I'm agreeing strongly with the previous poster that the management staff here is absolutely horrible. The lower downs are incompetent but nice enough but the administrative staff is embarrassingly bad. They are rude, nasty, inflexible, and very unhelpful. When the "fix" things - they come, put a little bandaid on it so that it just breaks again a few weeks/months down the line. There is ice everywhere which is very dangerous. I nearly got into a car accident due to no plowing. Just stay away.

Let me warn you, do not move here. first of all, the management staff is the worst group of people I've ever come across. do not buy into the suredeposit. its a scam. they ask you to pay 150 dollars upfront for the sure deposit, claiming its a safety deposit that ensures you up to 750 dollars of damages, but dont be fooled. they dont return the deposit fee after you move out, and if your apartment is not up to their standards by the time you move out the sure deposit never comes into play. for example my boyfriend and i lived there for 2 months and decided it wasnt the right place for us, after we moved we were billed for 100 dollars in damages and when we asked if our sure deposit would cover it the said no and if we didnt pay it we'd be sent to collections. its a scam. dont fall for it. The management staff are rude and inconsiderate.
