Don't get this place confused with the westside H&H bagels on Broadway. The bagels at H&H East are the absolute best in NYC. Always hot, fresh and delicious. They are not oversized or too chewy. While some may complain that they are not "traditional", it doesn't matter because they are the tastiest bagels around. I have had requests to send them to all my friends who no longer live in the NYC. Note: H&H will overnight them for you anywhere. I used to live just three blocks away and I still go up there for bagels about once a month, because no other bagels compare!
Pros: Fresh bagels
Cons: One location
i stop by everyday for me coffee keep up the good work
but you should have a second check out in the morning
thank you
This is a great place for kids. There are 10 tables and usually there are spots to sit. I take my 2 1/2 year old there all the time and he loves it and flirts with the cute girls in the neighborhood. The service is very fast and the bagels are a little softer and easier to eat. Much better than Pick A Bagel. For adults, Tal Bagels on 86th is the best, but they're bagels are a little too crispy for kids.
Pros: Fast service, good food.
Cons: Can be a bit sloppy and prepared too quickly.
just go early to avoid the rush....eating them when they are hot is key. no credit cards, just cash and great bagels
GREAT GREAT bagels - one of the best in nyc - always hot - not matter WHAT time of day - so good!
These are supposed to be the "best" bagels in New York? I'm sorry, but I've been here several times -and- these bagels are only AVERAGE. There aren't "bad" but they aren't "Great" either. They are the same size and taste that you can get almost any other place in town. If you did a blind taste test with me, I wouldn't be able to tell the difference between these and any other brand x bagel. I just don't get the hype. I would say: If you are in the area and want breakfast - go here. However, do not make a special trip. These bagels aren't worth the carbs or a trip out of the way. D&D has bagels just as good. That my opinion.
Pros: Local, Fast Service
Cons: Average Bagels
