After an ignored maintenance request, my apartment was broken into, and they did nothing to take responsibility. My locks froze several times in the winter, and they did nothing to remediate the problem. My hot water heater leaked, and it took four calls to get someone to even come look at it. I ruined sevel towels trying to mitigate the puddles, and complained to the health department regarding what looked like mold in the hot water room. In addition, the neigbors did not believe in supervising their children, and I was almost hit by them riding bicycles in the hallway several times. I have lived in some pretty questionable places during my college years, but this is literally the worst place I have ever lived.

I lived in this apartment complex for three years.
There are good things and they are bad things.
The apartment itself is nice, they call it luxury but I wouldn't agree with that. But it is clean and a nice size.
I had constant problems with my heat and air. During the winter my heat would stop working every few weeks. I always called maintanance and they would come and do a temporary fix and it would mess up again a few weeks later. I had nights with no heat where I had to sleep with three blankets and multiple layers of clothing. Same thing with the air. My air would go out and it would get so hot I would have to actually go stay with friends or with my family while it got fixed but i never got credited for those nights.
I never really saw my neighbors but I did hear them blasting their music at midnight or screaming at football games. They also liked to double park so that other people would have to park a block away.
The monthly rental price is way too high for what it is. I don't know if its the location with it being right by Castleton mall or what. You could have a decent house for what you pay in rent. Plus you still have to pay all your utilities. People's jaws would drop when I would tell them that.

I have had 5 or 6 friends live at River Bend over the years and they have all complained. It's it a good location, but the apartments are not maintained very well. There is always a lot of commotion at night. okay if you don't know about the 20 other complexes around that have better deals or nicer apartments for the same price.

When I moved into Amli at Riverbend I thought I was getting a "luxury" apartment. At least that what it is descibed as. The apartment seemed ok enough. It wasnt until the 2nd night I was int he apartment, I found a problem. I mean there were small things that were wrong, burnt out lights, broken garbage disposal. I have a bigger problem. I had mice! I contacted the leasing office. They said they would have maintanence over right away.... the next day. It was a Sunday when I notified them and Sunday isn't considered a business day. So I bought my own traps. Monday came and went... no maintenance. Tuesday comes, maintenance comes but does nothing about the mouse situation. I caught 5 mice that night. Thursday is their pest control day. So they come. There solution is to put a small bag of rat posion under my kitchen sink. Come on! Seal up some places where theyc ould come in. This is just nasty!

PROS: Nice area, many restaurants and shopping stores around.
CONS: Loud neighbors and rodents

I have lived in Core Riverbend for about 3 years now, they are ok apartments. I find that the office staff is very nice, especially Donna. The one thing I hate is the maitnance crew. THEY SUCK! This summer my A/C was broke for a week. Ive had a leak outside my bathroom for at least a year that still hasnt been fixed and now its starting to mold. Neither one of the tanks on my toilets will fill up, leaving me to do it maually and its been 2 months...NONE of my closet doors will open or shut the correct way, and theyve been like that for almost 3 years. A few months ago the carbon monoxide alarm went off, so i called maitnance the came and the first thing they said was "I dont smell anything" (YOU CANT SMELL TASTE OR SEE CARBON MONOXIDE) they said there wasnt a problem, I went to the hospital just to bee safe and was told my carbon monoxide level was elevated. I couldve been dead right now, but they dont care! If your not worried about maitnance issues, it would be a ok place to live, but if you dont like that, DO NOT MOVE HERE!!!!

-and my damn bathtub and sinks take forever to drain

My experiance while at Core River Bend wasnt bad. The only problem was the time it took to take care of maintanence. My problem was when it comes to moving out. We gave the correct notice, but they charged us for extra days. They said they push your move out day to the next closest monday after your lease is up because it makes it easier for them...it also makes it more expensive for the renter.

I had a really good deal on the price for my apartment, and the location is good. However, they do have a big problem with the maintenence issues. At the beginning of the summer they had a lot of air conditioning issues, so it took a month for most of my maintenence requests to get answered. I went without AC for about 2 weeks. I would rather be paying more money and have more reliable maintenence. Unlike the other reviews I do not have a problem at all with mold and my apartment in general seems to be clean.

I repeat, do not move in to this place or you will be making a HUGE mistake and regret it. I am updating this post after I just got hung up on after calling them.

If you are having thoughts about moving in to Core Riverbend apartments or town homes, take in to consideration what I have to say below.

I live in the area in Core Riverbend where you will find the town homes. Before first moving here in May, the leasing agents have a lot of ammunition to hype the place up. They have a mansion of an office, 2 nice swimming pools, racquetball rooms, and a weight room. These things are really nice, but they're only nice because they are the only things that Core Riverbend puts their money into!

While reading the problems I have below, keep in mind that I pay almost $1100 a money for this DUMP of a place!

I have MAJOR mold (green and black) and mildew problems. The entire maintenance crew is incompetent and does a half --- job fixing the simplest of tasks. After calling in, it took them 2 months and 3 failed attempts to fix a leak in my bathroom. Because of this leak, it added on to the even worse MOLD problem here! They ended up putting a whole new vanity in for my bathroom sink, simply covering up all of the nasty mold and rotting wood underneath. Now every time I open a cabinet in my bathroom sink, I get a nice whiff of wet mold and mildew.

Worms, ants, and other bugs come in from the bathrooms, the kitchen, all of the unsealed locations outside, the floors, the doors, and the windows. The bug man supposedly comes and sprays but it's impossible to get rid of the issue because these places are so OLD.

My fireplace above my roof is leaning at about a 10 degree angle. I swear it gets worse and worse each month. I am calling the Building Inspections Agency of Indianapolis this week to have them come look at the problem to see if I'm in danger of the fireplace caving in on me.

Almost every single closet door in the place doesn't work. The tracks are all broken and they all need replaced. Every time I've called maintenance about them they come and say it's fixed and the door breaks again after opening it once. I have lost all hope and have pretty much given up on the entire maintance crew.

All of the kitchen appliances are ----. They are all old and outdated, the dish washer barely works, the cabinets break all of the time, the refrigerator is tiny and old, and the stove top pieces are all bent causing pots and pans to slide off the stove when cooking and also causes uneven cooking. You'll find all of the great little annoyances if you choose to live here and decide not to pay the additional $250-$300 a month for new appliances! Personally, paying $1071/month I feel that the appliances should be at least somewhat nice considering the conditions of the rest of my place.

The garages outside are ridden with raccoons because Riverbend doesn't keep the garage units maintained.

The house and my clothes smell like smoke and no one who lives here smokes.

None of the window blinds actually fit the windows. Causing them to break all of the time and having to fix them.

There are potholes everywhere in the entrances and other places on the roads of Core Riverbend. They are starting to fix a couple of these but they left them untouched for God knows how long.

The leasing agent promised a $200 gift certificate to me upon moving in which I never got and never will get. My main concern about this is that they lied to me and when I asked them about it they say they can't help because the agent "unfortunately" doesn't work here anymore.

Finally, Core River does not care about you or your concerns as a resident. All they care about is milking you for your money so they can put it all in to making themselves look better. There are much better places around here that are much nicer and won't put as big of a hole in your wallet. Unforetunely, I have to put up with this place for 9 more months. All of this leads me to tell you: Don't live at Core Riverbend Apartments. I repeat, DO NOT LIVE AT CORE RIVERBEND APARTMENTS!

I moved here in April after finding it on line. I lived in Downtown Indy prior and have lived in a few places in Indianapolis. The apartments are nice with great amenities for the price. I am saving about $400 now and love my place. The office staff is great - I have not one complaint. The maintenance staff is great and I've had two calls that were answered within 30 minutes. They are friendly and go out of their way to help. The best part - it's quiet! The apartments have great sound proofing and I have only had to complain once - about someone's dog. Otherwise, you never have to worry about loud neighbors, parties, etc. Everyone smiles in passing and everyone seems to also be happy here. The paths that are around the complex are great to walk around. Even at night, I feel completely safe. I will continue to live here until I am ready to purchase.

My best friend and I loved living here. The office staff is very friendly, responsive, and helpful. They always tried to do an activity for adults and for kids each month but we never attended due to our schedules. They even handed out goodie bags one morning on our way to work for no special reason. The maintenance staff was always quick to help fix any problem (no matter how minor). One maintenance guy even helped me fix my vacuum even though he wasn't obligated to help.

We liked the split-room layout. What's great is that we were allowed to paint the rooms and didn't have to paint them back to white when we left! Our fridge broke the first week we moved in and within 24 hours we had a brand new one.

It's a nice place to live, especially compared to the apartments around the area. Moderately priced and good sized. The pool is nice in the summer. The staff was always nice and ready to help, and any problems w/ maintenance were always taken care of right away. It's a little bit older, but very nice. I enjoyed Riverbend a lot.

The thing that sold me on this place was all of the things to do. I was able to cancel my Lifetime Gym membership and save $65 a month. They have pools, tennis, racquetball court. Its a huge place so there are lots of place to jog and great paths. MY apartment is reasonably priced as well!
