Gem City Bar & Grill

We were on our way to another restaurant (not realizing that they closed at 5 PM) and decided to take a chance on Gem. It was a great decision. It is a clean, cozy, loungy restarant with an expansive bar. The menu had all of our favorites but with an extra flair. Our daughter enjoyed the food and she even received a token 'gem' that she loved. I appreciated the extra attention from the owners... that is totally unusual but greatly appreciated..!!!

My wife and I have been in a few times and have enjoyed each visit. The food is great and very affordable. The service is always excellent. Ask for Rachel or Davis, the bartender...both are our favorites. We are so happy to have a new and great place to go to so close to home.

What a great restaurant. There is a wonderful menu with a wide variety of choices. The staff is friendly and wonderful. Marietta is indeed lucky to have Gem City.

The owners are our neighbors, very nice family. They come from the hotel hospitality business and also got a chef formerly from a top steak restaurant in Atlanta, so good quality. I've heard nothing but a friendly, respectful attitude from the wait staff. The shrimp&grits, crab cakes and BBQ slider are a few of my favorites I've tried so far. Great for family or going to watch the game with friends. Great private room as well. :)

A good quality, reasonably priced casual restaurant for the family. We take our 11 year old son there all the time. He eats pizza and we dine on the delicious adult fare. A cut above the comparably-priced chain restaurants.

We were there on Saturday nite, the female bartender was yelling F*&% off to one of the waiters and throwing things. She even reeked of marijuana. took forever to get our drinks, seemed preoccupied (or just stoned)

Fantastic food and very pleasant and friendly staff. I definitely recommend the Bronzed Chicken Sandwhich, it is wonderful! For dessert I ordered the Bourbon Pecan Pie and cannot wait to order it again!

We visited Gem City Bar and Grill three days in a row! We talk about having lunch there every day. The flounder sandwich special is excellent, the burgers are the best around and the crab cakes are delicious. If you like food, you need to try it...you'll want it every day too!!!

The flounder special was very good and the service was friendly. Martha, one one of the owners, came by several times to make sure we had all we needed.
