Called to have water heater repaired. Plumber was sent from Tacoma. The technician was excellent. Same day appointment and service. The only downer was the price.

I had a plumbing emergency involving sewage in my renter's basement, so immediate service was needed, and the plumber we used to remodel that bathroom was booked 10 days out. I was thrilled that even though Roto-Rooter was based in Tacoma, they had a truck out to me in north Kirkland in an hour, and about an hour after that, everything was fixed! No plumbing repair is cheap, but it was less than I expected, too. There are more fun ways I can think of to spend my money, but it was fast, convenient, and Florin was very polite.

I shopped around before hiring Roto-Rooter. Mike is the name of the plumber that came out for Roto-Rooter and he did an Awesome job! He was fast and accurate and had the best quote. We had all of our toilets upgraded to the American Standard ADA grade toilets and when one of the toilets was having a drain issue Mike called a work mate that specialized in drains and he was out to help in less than 15min. I will be using Roto-Rooter services again in the near future.

Picking a plumber is always a shot in the dark. But I have known the Roto-Rooter name since I was a kid, so decided to take a chance on them. My problem was not time-sensitive or complex: just a few toilets with leaky fill valves. I booked an appointment online at 11am and Elvis and his apprentice were able to stop by that afternoon. Elvis quickly assessed the problem, assured me I didn't need new toilets, and then, before committing to do the work, made sure he had all the necessary parts in his van. He gave me a quick, reasonable quote for the work, and was in and out in under two hours.

He and his apprentice (sorry, forgot his name -- "Elvis" was easier to remember) were both friendly, professional, and got right to work without a lot of wasted time. He went above and beyond to make sure the job was done correctly.

If you happen to read through this review, you are reading comments from someone who has dealt with all kinds of repair companies, contractors, and maintenance crews. I've seen what I suspect is the very worst out there, so I know when someone good walks in the door.

Hello. I'm the type of guy that would usually fix something myself. This time, though, it was a broken line under the house, I needed peace of mind, not crawling around under the house several times just to figure out that I caused more issues. I called Roto-Rooter of the Tacoma office, they set me up with a plumber right away. Peace of mind is what I needed, and that's exactly what I got. My plumber was courteous, professional, answered all of my many questions, and the repair cost EXACTLY what he quoted me. Unable to install a complex shower unit and in need of drain service, we decided to get a plumber from Roto-Rooter in Tacoma. Roto-Rooter offered immediate service (same day) and arrived precisely on time for their appointment time. I appreciated not having to wait around the house for a four hour window when I had Friday errands to run. Disaster struck this morning with all three sinks in my kitchen backed up. I made a call to Roto Rooter and had a very nice young man in my kitchen solving the problem within an hour. My husband gave up and called Roto rooter this morning. I was worried I would not get my Christmas baking finished in time but a half an hour after my husband called Roto Rooter was at the front door. Jon Higgins was very professional , He asked me questions and looked for clues on what might be causing the blockage. He was like a detective and broke down each clue like the expert he is .
A huge concern of mine was cost . I was informed up front how much everything might cost. I appreciated this . Jon let me know what he was doing and why and took the time to explain and trouble shoot with me.
In the end John found out what the problem was and fixed it . He suggested ways to avoid a pricey plumbing bill in the future and educated me about drains and toilets. The second came later in the evening with high tech gear to camera and scrub the city of Shelton's sewer line. Earlier plumber visits didn't give me the confidence that Roto Rooter of Tacoma did. I wanted the garbage disposal in my sink removed because I'm on a septic system, and because the pipes would plug up from only occasional use of the disposal, so my sink couldn't drain. -
They cleaned the pipes, replaced a few pieces, and did it right, so that that whoever worked on it next would find it easier to work on.
