Saint Alphonsa's Academy

My wife and I have been looking for a solid daycare for month's, like every other parent we want the best for our son. With that said, we decided to stay in a certain price range so that we got the best care possible. Our friend recommended St. Alphonsa's Academy, we haven't heard much about at it (they just opened 5 months ago). We decided to make an appointment to visit with our son, well to say the least, we were impressed, but the real decision maker was how our son had quickly made friends and that he didn't want to go, "Daddy, can I come back here tomorrow?" ... well we all know how that ended! :)

Thank you St. Alphonsa's for just getting it right, you can tell this day care run is parents who understand.

When my child came home with a cold and a fever from his daycare, I decided I am not going to send him to another daycare again. Soon I was desperate to find an ideal daycare for my son. I came across many daycare's that did not fit my standards. As a mother like anyone else I too wanted the best for my child and when I came across Saint Alphonsa's Academy I knew instantly that it was the perfect place for him. The place had a friendly, welcoming, and nurturing environment. It was clean and open with lots of room for kids to play around. The owner was friendly and easy to relate to; she answered all my questions in detail like she knew exactly what I was looking for. More importantly I found their center very flexible to my work schedule. They had established clear and strong rules and regulations about illnesss and handling emergencies. The daycare had a well-thought-out and structured curriculum with plenty of activities, group program, and free time. I was pleased to know that TV was not going to be part of my childs daily activity. What made my decision final was their security system which gives my heart a security that no strangers can enter the premises without permission. My overall experience assures me that they will take their responsibility "my baby" seriously.

When I first heard the rants and raves about St. Alphonsa's Day Care, I was a bit skeptical at first. But after scheduling a visit, my doubts and worries vanished. Everyone there, was undoubtedly passionate about the overall well being and development of my children. The owners were warm and inviting and could not have done a better job welcoming us. What really impressed me, was how organized and meticulous they are with their curriculum and developmental milestones. This appointment ultimately, made my decision an easy one. Check this place out, and I promise you, it will be one of the smartest and CHEAPEST investments you will ever make!

I really like this place and was glad I called in for a walk through. The owner was very friendly, professional, and didn't rush me even though I showed up late to our appointment. The place is clean, bright, and spacious. I was surprised they were charging less than our old day care center. So that sealed the deal for me.

PROS: pricing was really good, the place is clean and child friendly environment

CONS: didn't realize it was there till my cousin told me about it

i've been looking for a daycare ever since i realized i was pregnant with my second and i've heard about the nightmares trying to get your newborn in a daycare if you don't enroll early...i called Saint Alphonsa's Academy a week ago and had the chance to check out the place. being a picky and paranoid mom, i was looking at everything i could possibly think of. the place is very clean and the staff is very approachable and friendly. they didn't seem annoyed with all the questions i had which was a big relief. the place is very friendly and inviting. definitely worth a visit if you're looking for quality daycare in the northeast.

I drive by here every day with my two year old and had a chance to finally stop in (I believe they just opened). I was very

surprised, you wouldn't expect to see this type of attention to detail in NE Philly. The facility is VERY clean and extremely

inviting, the staff is friendly and went out of their way to make us comfortable. I was a bit skeptical as the rates seemed on

the lower end so I wasn't sure what to expect.

My husband and I were immediately drawn to the fact that they actually have a curriculum in place for kids - it's not just finger

painting and toys all day. We have our daughter there full time now and she seems much happier than our previous experiences

(this is the 3rd daycare we've tried). Highly recommended if you're in this area.
