Dr. Kristen Ruest grew up in Albion, NY on a family farm. Dr. Kristen graduated from SUNY Fredonia in 2000 with a B.S. degree in biology and chemistry, and earned her DVM from University of Florida College of Veterinary Medicine in 2004. Dr. Ruest immediately completed an internship at The Animal Hospital of Pittsford, Rochester.
Her professional interests include surgery and exotic medicine.
In her spare time, Dr. Ruest enjoys spending time with her family, painting, riding horses, creating beaded jewelry and movies. She and her husband have three daughters and a houseful of pets including a King Charles Spaniel named Weasley, 1 rabbit: Ollie, a Northern Diamond Back Terrapin: Yoda, 2 African Leopard Tortoises: Muftak and Kabe, and a blind horse named Baby.
