I have visited this Santa Monica Store on several occasions, both looking for a new phone and for paying my bill. There are very long wait times, the customer service is sorely lacking. If you have Verizon Wireless and have to go into a store and this is the most convenient location, just plan on being there a while, bring a good book, and be patient.

PROS: Verizon wireless connections
CONS: lack of customer service, rudeness, long wait times

I have never had a good experience at this location. The phone selection is limited, everything's expensive and there's always a huge wait for a service rep. Unfortunately, I have to go here periodically for my job and it's always a giant headache.

I was a Verizon Wireless customer. My wife had Cingular. Both of our contracts were up and we wanted to consolidate. We went to this Verizon store. They were very busy and the guy at the door told us it would be a 45 minute wait for service. Totally understandable. But we asked him a question and he basically ignored us. We left and came back the following weekend. It was a little less hectic. We got to a saleswoman right away and started asking her questions. She was extremely argumentative and rude. It was like she immediately sized us up and figured we weren't going to buy from her so she wanted to get us out of the way asap. In fact we were ready to sign a contract but we wanted to make sure we had the right one. She got us so mad that we left vowing never to do business with Verizon again. We went over to the Cingular store and got our phones in about 15 minutes.

I found this branch of Verizon to be especially lousy regarding customer service. The staff is obviously rehearsed to sell sell sell but the minute you try and return with a problem or a question, they can cite every rule in the book why they shouldn't have to help. I tried to return a faulty phone and the snotty salesman immediately started telling me all the reasons why I was responsible and they weren't. It's absolutely amazing how a company of this worldwide stature can condone this type of customer non-service. Additionally, the weekend lines can be interminable. I wouldn't recommend this branch of Verizon at all.

When I first moved to town, this store would not even match the price my wife got from another phone dealer across the street for the same verizon wireless plan. They claimed that they didn't have access to that deal. I really don't believe that Verizondoesn't give its best plans to its own stores. I think they just didn't care.

If you think getting put on hold is bad, then you haven't been to this store. It's a minimum of twenty minutes. Make sure you sign the waiting list. I'm not kidding! What's sadder is that they misdiagnosed the problem, so I had to make a total of four visits within a week. One woman refused to believe that the problem was the phone charger. She insisted that I return home to charge it for a full 6 hours before coming back.

I had too cancel my Verizon service, because this is the closest store to my home and the service is horrible. There is always a long line and most the workers stand arround and talk to each other or on thier personal cell phones. My bill is always wrong.

New store all the newest phones. But long lines and no parking. Lot behind building is vallet and all street parking is by permit only. Be ready for at least a 30 minute wait - no mater what you need.
