For such a small club, the sound is amazing! The stage is tiny, so some bands look like they have a hard time with that. It gets packed pretty quick, but I will definitely be back soon!
4Great spot for those mid-week blues. Upcoming events include Teresa Michalina on June 18th at 8 pm...not to be missed! She is amazing. You'll be able to say that you saw her before she became famous. OK, alcohol is expensive, but they are generous...and there is a wide variety of individuals who come to check out what's happening. Worth the effort!

Pros: wide variety of individuals, cozy spot
Cons: parking is a challenge
so i've been there more than a few times....they have the cover band, the starfuckers twice a week. they're ok- but off stage they're pretentious. i enjoy sitting with other musicians discussing music, but unless you're willing to buy them drinks or have illegal substances, don't count on it. don't get me wrong, i've met a "few" cool people there. there is actually one band i saw there for the first time that I am currently working with. drinks are really expensive, bartenders are only nice to you if they KNOW you, and the clientele walk around acting like their excrement doesn't stink. sorry, just NEVER had a good experience (except the once) at this bar. so just walk past it into the whiskey, the viper, the roxy, the rainbow, the key club, ANYWHERE

Pros: can't think of one
Cons: service, size, expensive drinks, no seating
I saw my friend's friend's relatively unknown band there. It was sort of like a high school show- sound and lighting weren't that good. The gin and tonics are super strong though! Fun crowd and decor, but definitely would be cramped for a bigger band.

Pros: Cool atmosphere, small
Cons: Sound system
The stage is really almost too small for most bands and their equipment, and the floor can get really crowded. (But it's nice that there's always the upstairs to hang out in.) And it would be nice to have more than one bathroom stall. Overall, I do like the looks of what's been done to remodel, though. Good music, too! Parking is tough, as with most clubs in the area. I think the lot out back is $7 or so.

This club is owned by the drummer for the Stray Cats, and they often have jams on stage with some famous to semi-famous musicians. I played here with my band one night, and the one thing I noted-- the stage is tiny! You can't beat the location, down from the Hustler store, The Viper Room, and The Whiskey a Go-Go. It's a cozy, dark little place to see some local bands and get your drink on. I'd recommend.

I had a pretty good time here. A nice low key place (although the night I went it was a little crowded) but for the most part a place to enjoy yourself, get a drink and relax.
3It was very and cool. I likes the vibe, it had an edge without being hostile. There were unbelievably hot women.

The Cat Club is always a fun place to see new and established artists performing. This cozy venue has a great atmosphere for music, the club is centrally located in the middle of all the happening LA clubs on Sunset Blvd. Andras Jones will be performing at The Cat Club on Friday, August 2 at 8pm, with special guest Anya Marina. For a great night of original pop/folk/rock live music, the Cat Club is the place to be! Andras is an experienced performer who always puts on a great show! You'll find his music intriguing, thought provoking, energetic, and full of creativity!

The band Room 16 is the best band I ever seen at the club. The were exciting, spontaneous and worked well with the crowd. It was like The Grateful Dead getting funky.

The place is tiny, but every time I've been there I've seen some phenomenal musicians. Get there early to grab some of the limited seating. No seats at the bar (what is it with LA and no freaking bar stools!). Maybe Axl will stop by again (this is the only place he's sung at in forever).
