I am a frequent flyer on Alaska and have only the best to say about them. I regularly travel LAX- Seattle and they are the absolute cheapest in this route with terrific service. They guarantee the lowest rates on their own website so I dont have to browse any other travel websites to get the best fare. Their mileage program is just too good... you basically get a 1000 miles bonus everytime you buy a ticket off their website in addition to any miles you actually fly.

I also took their Alaska Airlines Visa credit card and the miles really add up... I use the card to buy tickets on Alaska's website and rack up 2X points. Its a classic way to earn free travel and Alaska Airlines does it well.

Highly recommended.

Well.....I've probably flown on Alaska Airlines about 30-40 times within the past several years going to and from Seattle, WA. As long as they service your airport, you'll probably find that they have the most flights to Seattle or to Alaska than any other carrier, no surpise there.

Alaska Airlines was one of the first airlines to utilize e-tickets for all of their flights and have perfected it since then. I do prefer having an assigned seat as well (I need my aisle seat) which is unlike Southwest's boarding group passes. Their flights are relatively on-time as compared with the always seemed to be overbooked America West.

However, one drawback that I must mention is their boarding process. Most other airlines (other than Southwest) board with first class first, then they'll board by rows from the back to the front. However, Alaska Airlines boards the first class pax (passengers in airline lingo) first then all of the other coach rows next. So, it's like a herd of people trying to get to the front, so that they can put their carry-on baggage in the overhead bins.

If you only have a small carry on that you can put in front of your seat, I would suggest that you wait a little bit to let the crowds die down before you board the plane.

PROS: The most flights to Seattle and Alaska!
CONS: The boarding process.

I have travelled on Alaska Airlines many times. I feel as though their fares are a good value. Their frequent flyer program is very good also. I feel that all in all their service is excellent. They have very convenient routes for me and their partner airlines are numerous including American Airlines and Northwest Airlines

Alaska Airlines has become my carrier of choice since moving to Seattle. Prices are reasonable (although I do not consider them to be one of the cheesy discount carriers like southwest), service is solid, and their route structure is great from Seattle, especially if you are traveling to Alaska or along the west coast. Achieving elite status is relatively easy, and elite benefits on Alaska are great! Plus, you can redeem miles on so many partner airlines.

I just flew to Boise, ID on Alaska Airlines. The flights were on time and our baggage was on the belt very quickly. The waiting area in PDX is a little dirty and cramped but at BOI it's brand new and wonderful.

I have traveled a lot and I always try to choose Alaska Airlines whenever possible. Booking travel through them is easy. Customer services are always friendly and helpful. The crew at the airport and on the planes is wonderful. The vacation packages are a good value. And their partner affiliates are usually equally as good.
