After moving from California, I have been looking for a good vietnamese restaurant, & I have found it. This is the place you want to go to if you are craving pho, it is the best of the best. They have the most awesome egg rolls as well, a hearty serving which everyone loves! Try their house special fried rice - its dreamy.

Small family run operation that serves up Vietnamese food and some Chinese dishes more rapidly than most fast food franchises. The prices are extremely reasonable as well, especially when you consider that you can easily make a single order into two complete meals.
My personal favorite--lemon grass chicken. They will vary the spice according to taste. But be sure to be very clear when ordering since English is not the first language of the workers and there can be some language confusion. They are all very sweet people and personable and will rectify any problems with your order.

Pho Nhat is a family owned and operated Vietnamese restaurant with some Chinese dishes. The food is fresh, hot, and quick. The prices are definitely for a college crowd. They have everything from rolls to Vietnamese soups. This is definitely a place to go when you need comfort food.

This young Vietnamese couple has probably made one of the best Pho in the city. It is located at 1820 W Southern Ave in Mesa 480-898-0760. His wife is the chef since he doesn't cook. The service isn't one of their forte since he and his wife is the only one running the show. By looking at all the patrons--majority Asians, you will know this is the best place in the city since I personally will not spend money on food is this chef is worst than what I can generate at home and I am extremely picky and have returned many food which is substandard. The place in the University area is a little more expensive. The place has to be both CHEAP and GOOD. In my experience, prices generally have inverse relationship on how good the food is and I have been dining in one of the most expensive restaurant in Europe and turned out to be disappointed.

Pros: Excellent food..
Cons: Service can be difficult at times but he will always try his best to accommendate you
If you have ever lived in Asia, you will love the feeling of Pho Nhat. Nothing flashy, Mom-Pop feeling with a very busy luch clientelle.
Their soup is excellent, just like I ate while in Asia for a few years. The vermicelli noodle dishes were fresh and deliceous. The spring rolls were excellent. I LOVE their curry chicken, kind of a mix between Thai curry and Indian curry. My wife always gets the lemongrass chicken, and/or the BBQ Pork Fried Rice.
There are other locations in the valley, but this one is the best and fasted service. They recognize me everytime I come in.
