My maltese was very sick and bleeding when i took her in to colton animal hospital. I was so distraught, scared and worried, but dr. kim not only reassured me that my dog would be fine, he was so kind and sensitive to my situation. It was not like I was just another number. I am so thankful to him because he even quoted us a reasonable price being that I did not have animal insurance.

I'm new to the area and visited a couple hospitals before I visited Colton Animal hospital. World of a difference!! The service and care was awesome! Rates were really low, which is huge given how expensive Hazel's medical bills are. More importantly I know Hazel is in good hands. I felt very comfortable because he explained my dog's spinal condition thoroughly and even called me after hours to reassure me that everything was going to be fine. Going that extra mile meant the world to me.

He saved my puppies life. My dog had contracted mange and parvo at the same time. I went to another vet that gave him very little care. As a matter of fact the mange got so bad that he lost most of his hair on his face and legs after he was treated. This doctor came to my rescue and cured him. Colton Animal Hospital did a great job. After hours, and he didnt even charge me for the medicine. He also gave me a bag of dog food that would help my dog get better. Didnt charge me for that either. He really showed me he cared and I am eternally grateful! My dog is alive and well.

Holly I am sorry for the loss of Bella. Shame on that veterinary office for not keeping you completely informed. Hopefully this will prevent someone else from losing their puppy. From my veterinary experience pups need AT LEAST 3 sets of vaccines, better with 4 @ 7 weeks, 10 weeks, 13 weeks, and ideally, 16 weeks. Obviously shots every 3 weeks until the puppy is 16 weeks or 4 months old. At 4 months puppies should have their rabies shot as well. For extra precaution to avoid scary illnesses like parvo, keep new puppies INDOORS only using pee pee pads (potty training can come later when their immunity is better). Keep shoes outside so you do not drag in viruses. And please do not let your puppy play with any other puppies, or walk outside until it has had ALL series of the puppy shots. I have seen too many times people having their puppies play together or walking a young, unvaccinated puppy down the street. These almost always lead to a very sick puppy. Not only will you be heartbroken, but parvo and illnesses like it are horrible ways for an animal to be sick and unfortunatlely sometimes die. Keep your pets safe. Especially puppies! Think of them like fragile babies, and hopefully you will be alright! Always better safe than sorry!

My dog Bella was 11 months old when she was diagnosed with Parvo by Banfield Animal Hospital. She was the love of our lives. The vet who diagnosed her of Parvo informed us that our puppy should have had 16 weeks worth of vaccinations. Colton Animal Hospital scheduled us for only 12 out of 16 weeks of vaccinations. The result of our puppy's health was tragically obvious. She was a beautiful purebred black labrador retriever. She was very well trained and she loved to play 24hrs. a day. We miss her dearly and would do anything to have her back in our lives. Do not let this happen to your loved one. Please make sure you get 16 weeks of vaccinations whether or not your vet informs you. We didn't know she needed 16 weeks of vaccinations and it cost our beautiful "Bella" her life at only 11mo. of age.
