I love getting massages, but hate paying $70 to $85 an hour for them. A one-hour massage at Healing Hands Wellness & Massage Center on Larchmont Bl. is $55, and only $80 for a 90-minute massage. I??m always confident that I??ll get the deep, therapeutic massage I??m craving. Also, if I call the day before or walk in without an appointment, I know I can probably get a great massage from anyone on their professional staff.

The walls seem a little thin at times (some ambient sounds) but, the fact that I can shower if I want before or after my massage, makes up for that. Street parking is usually available, but there??s also free parking in the rear. I find Healing Hands a reliable source for a deep massage that relaxes and energizes me, at a reasonable cost ?? which is a Four Star experience.

Not only did my masseuse instill a painful kink in my neck that wont go away, but the customer service was NOT good and the room was dingy. I dont know about every therapist there, but my personal experience was a huge thumbs down... Just being honest.

The massage I got here today was the WORST I've ever had. The male therapist was inappropriately touchy-feely with unprofessional sheet draping, strange comments and an overall sense of icky. He smelled like cigarette smoke and, on top of everything, gave a terrible massage (I can lightly rub lotion on myself for free, thank you). I wanted to leave early but was too embarrassed to speak up.

I've never reviewed anything on Yelp before but felt the need to say something after this experience. I have been to Healing Hands (both locations) multiple times and the massages are hit or miss but since the price is low, I always return. Never again.

I went to the Chiro there once. He seemed like a good guy. But he worked with a little clicky thing so I was disappointed. I didn't get an adjustment as I imagined. I had a massage from Naomi. It was beyond light pressure.

Tamara Zummallen is more than an acupuncturist, she's a healer. I have gotten acupuncture several times over the years with various professionals and she stands at the tippy top with her skillful hands, knowledge and sweetness. Healing Hands on larchmount is also a peaceful environment to receive your healings.....If you can splurge I def recommend doing her in home special, she comes to you, acupuncture and massage....it will make you purrrr all day long. LOVE Tamara!

There are two locations one on Crescent Heights and one on larchmont.
Crescent Heights is generally very good, ive had many more good massages then bad.
The staff is friendly and its quiet.
I suggest if you are planning on going to one of their locations pick Crescent Heights .
I booked an apt at the larchmont location. It was loud, the staff was indifferent and i received the WORST massage of my life.
It felt like she was poking me with one finger the whole time, by the time i left i was so irritated it was a total waste of my time and money.
If i wanted to get poked or irritated by a stranger i will take the bus in LA at least its only $1.25

This was my first massage from Healing Hands but it definitely won't be the last! It was the perfect combination of swedish and deep tissue and left me feeling amazing, and in a dreamlike state. I really appreciated that my masseuse Jennifer asked me what my preferences were, which never happens elsewhere. Anywhere else you pay for one type of massage and that's that. I highly recommend Healing Hands for anyone in need of serious stress relief! Thanks Jennifer!

This is one of the very few massage places that have more than a couple talented masseurs/masseusses.

Highly Recommended. Tony, Craig, Jennifer, Brett are all awesome. Have never had a problem getting an appt. Never waited - appts are always on time and everything is clean and relaxing.

I asked the receptionist for someone who would do an excellent 90 minute focussed deep tissue on my upper back. When I say deep tissue, I want deep tissue. My guy had some weird technique that I've never experienced. I've had many massages, all different types, and this was just awkward. I really feel so disappointed for the experience. His touch was too light, he wasn't intuitive, and he didn't seem confident. What bummer. My back still hurts and I feel like I wasted my money and time. I'm going to contact the place directly with this feedback and have them recommend someone else to me. The place is really nice and I like the affordability, but I really didn't enjoy the massage. Very, very frustrating.

As a massage therapist, I've always felt really thankful for such a great place -- both locations are so convenient, the therapists are top-rate, and the price can't be beat. I have just begun receiving Rolfing sessions (a specific *very* deep tissue technique to re-align the body structurally) from Jon, and I can't stop talking about it. My wrist and forearms have never been so open, my legs are super happy during yoga practice now, and my feet have never felt better. My whole body feels alive. I highly recommend it, though it's pretty intense and not for the faint of heart. It's awesome!

I went to Healing Hands because of all the glowing reviews I read online. I was actually really excited for my treatment as I had been needing to get a massage for quite a while. As soon as my therapist (Adam) put his hands on me, I couldn't wait for the massage to be over. He basically massaged me with one hand, mostly what felt like his thumb, the whole time. He spent little time on my back and from my previous massage axperiences the back tends to be focused on. It just seemed like he was putting little effort into my massage the entire time. I help myself back from actually getting up and walking out in the middle of the massage. On top of the horrible massage, the room they put me in was so noisy. It was next to the front desk so the whole time I could hear the phone ringing and people walking around. Not relaxing at all. And to top it off, when my massage was over and I left the room, there was no one to be found...not my therapist to say thank you, not a receptionist, no one. I walked out of there feeling like I wasted my time and money and still in need of a good massage.

After a long day at work and an aching back I drove over the Healing Hands on W. 3rd St. The atmosphere is very quaint and relaxing. I booked a hour massage and got Aaron as my massage therapist. It was the best massage I've had in a long time. I left feeling totally rejuvenated and relaxed. I would definitely go back and ask for Aaron again.

Healing Hands is a great place to relax and wind down, and one therapist who goes the extra mile is Vann, who specializes in deep tissue and Swedish massage. I'm very particular - and get stressed out easily from work sometimes - but Vann was so welcoming and professional; he truly listened to my needs. His touch was incredibly therapeutic and intuitive, so needless to say I found a great therapist who helped me relax and release tension. Plus he uses aromatherapy in his sessions, which helped relived my allergies. Bonus! Great location on 3rd ST & Crescent Hts!

This past weekend, I went to Healing Hands for a massage. I just moved to the neighborhood and happened to walk by so I thought I'd take a chance. When I walked in, I was pleasantly surprised. The spa has a really relaxing atmosphere. It's clean and the staff is very nice. I opted for an hour massage with a masseuse by the name of Vann Siharath. After being introduced, I explained that I just wanted a massage to relax. I went to lay down onto the table and discovered that my head rest had been sprayed with something that smelled wonderful. It set the mood as did the calming music that played in the background. Vann went to work on my back and I soon realized that he is a brilliant masseuse. It was definitely the best massage I've ever had and I've had my fair share of massages all across the country including some very pricey ones. I left feeling completely relaxed like I was walking on air. In addition, it was also very reasonably priced. I would definitely recommend it.

Vann Siharath is far and away the best massage therapist in Los Angeles or New York.
His deep tissue work has saved me from the ravages of stress many, many times. He has magic hands and takes a keen interest in what is going on with your body.
He is also a very pleasant fellow to be around.
This weekly , and sometimes biweekly ,treatment is key to my preventative health care.
Sincerely,
Dr. Barbra Rubin

I got a FANTASTIC massage from Vann Siharath and I cant begin to tell you how good I felt when it was all over. I fully expected to have a full day of errands when I was done with the massage but after an hour of Vann kneading my sore back and really getting into the knots I have I was in no mood to do anything except jump into my sweats and spend the rest of the day relaxing in bed. If you are looking for a really talented, friendly and totally easy going masseur then Vann is your guy. Id have to say that Vann is one of the best in town and if you are really looking for someone to relieve you of all your aches and pains (at least for an hour) than make an appointment with Vann....

I'm so happy to have found Healing Hands. The place is unpretentious and comfortable. You can't beat the price, especially for a 90 min. massage at $75. The price doesn't reflect the quality of the therapists however. I'm a massage therapist as well so I'm very picky about who works on my body. I highly recommend Vann who is fantastic at deep tissue massage. I've been going to him once a month when I need to get the kinks ironed out. Another great therapist is Dodi, also for deep tissue massage. She's so excellent that she's almost always booked but if you can get an appointment, it's well worth it.

I pulled the ACL in my knee while taking a Capoeira class. After doing some research on the internet I learned that acupuncture was recommended for this type of injury. I can see why. After my first treatment the swelling on my knee went away almost immediately. Now most of the pain has gone away and I'm no longer limping. - thanks Marguerite

I work in this business and I have been all over the country visiting different spas and I can't express enough how incredible a deal this place is. Not only am I very picky but I have been working in the business for over 16 years. All the therapists are excellent and very professional. I have never had a bad experience and the fact they only charge 75 dollars for an hour in a half is incredible. Aaron is my personal favorite, he is the only person who has ever made me so relaxed I actually started to doze off, and my headache was GONE! I buy gift certificates for all my friends and they are all repeat customers. I wish i could go everyday. You will never go anywhere else.....

Over the years, I've spent tons of money and tons of time seeking the perfect massage at the perfect price. Not only that, I wanted to find a place that truly cared about me as a client, and would pay attention to my specific health needs. I also wanted to find a place that had heart and soul, and wasn't another Burke Williams or one of those places where I've felt like a small clog in the all-too-huge LA massage machine.

Once I found Healing Hands I realized my search was over. While not having any familiarity with the body workers that first time, I happened to get Jessica. What a lucky day that was. I've been going to her ever since (I go at least once a month). She's extremely courteous and knowledgeable. She can also bring a smile to the face of those in the worst of pain.

I needed a massage badly and I'm SO glad I found Healing Hands. I didn't know what to expect for only $55 ($49.50 with the Citysearch Coupon!), but what I got was a no frills, excellent deep tissue massage. Forget Burke Williams if you can forego the cozy spa robes and cucumbers on your eyes, because Healing Hands is 10 times better for massages.

I've been going to Healing Hands since 2005. Out of the 20 or so times I've gotten a massage there, I've only been unsatisfied once. It was with a male therapist and his arms hairs were really long and got in the way of the massage. Get a KCRW discount card, you'll save 15% with each massage.

I highly recomend seeing Dodi. I usually ask for a guy to massage me, being that I like a strong massage. I work out allot and sometimes put to much strain on my upper back. Dodi was so strong and knew where to go after our consultation. I recomend her to any guy that needs a good healing.

Very disappointed, specially after reading the glowing "reviews." Sometimes companies ask people to write nice things about them. Maybe part of the marketing campaign. $55 means they have to pay the therapist $27 per hour. You get what you pay for? Sorry to be so negative, but it was too noisy, and the guy was way too soft and talked too much. I just I couldn't wait for it to be over.

Very disappointed, specially after reading the glowing "reviews." Sometimes companies ask people to write nice things about them. While I have had many massages with many different therapists, I have been completely blown away by Dodi! Her energy and her ability to pinpoint my aches and pains pretty much on her own has amazed me. I have never been the type to indulge myself with a monthly massage, I have now been seing Dodi almost once a week. I no longer feel like it is an indulgence because the improved state of health I feel is so worth the investment. I will be seeing another therapist the next time around since my daughter and I will be getting massages at the same time so I'm looking forward to meeting the other talent in the house!

As a massage therapist myself, I'm pretty picky when it comes to choosing a another therapist to work on me. I also understand that the process of choosing a therapist is completely subjective, which is why I feel the need to say to "roxy10" and "greatbrook": just because the therapist you had didn't quite work for you, does not mean that they are not amazing therapists. In fact, I see Dodi (who roxy10 complained about) regularly and frankly, couldn't make it through the week without her amazing healing touch. I feel like it's important for the general public to realize how subjective the process of choosing a massage therapist is (as greatbrook's review proves). Try a few different therapists, and see who fits for you. Trust me, all the therapists at Healing Hands that I've encountered are knowledegable, caring, and thorough. I've had sessions with many of them, and haven't been disappointed yet. This is the ONLY place I refer my own clients to when my schedule is full. Trust me - as a massage professional for 12 years - this is the place to go for bodywork in L.A. Tell the receptionist what you're looking for in your massage session so they can match you up with the appropriate therapist (we all have our own style). You won't be disappointed.

Pros: knowlegeable staff, tranquil setting, parking, prices

Cons: often booked-call early!

Great atmosphere, talented therapists - couldn't have asked for a better, more therapeutic massage. Zen-like environment and pristinely clean.

Healing hands is a small, unpretentious gem. The massages are affordable and Tamara's acupunture skills are amazing. I was reluctant to try acupunture at first, but two years later I am still going to healing hands and wish I had the money to get acupuncture every week.

Yesterday ended a very stressful semester and today Saria jiggled all the stress out of me. She has this amazing technique of testing muscle tension, then knowing exactly where to push and rub to make it go away. She very gifted at reading bodies, and definitely the person to go to if you're holding on to nasty tension and bad juju. I feel more than relaxed, I feel unbraided, elated, and quite sleepy (in a good way). Another fantastic trip to Healing Hands!

Tamara ZumMallen is an amazing acupuncturist. This was my first experience with acupuncture and I will be going back. She treated me for neck pain and intestinal distress. I saw tremendous improvement after just one treatment. Tamara's style is very comforting; she put me at ease right away. She asked a lot of questions and was very good at explaining the treatment. I definitely recommend Tamara if you have been wanting to try acupuncture but don't know where to start.

I've been getting massages at Healing Hands for almost three years now, and I can't recommend it enough! I've bought myself, friends, and out-of-town guests DOZENS of massages here and we all agree, this is a great place to experience both bodywork and relaxation! Whether you consider your massages a luxury or a survival necessity, don't be fooled by the "no-frills" reputation - they take great care to make a relaxing and tranquil environment. You get cooling cucumber-lemon water before and after, and even the bathroom is candelit and cozy. There is sometimes some street noise or the noise of the waiting area and the old building creaking, but with a great therapist at work on you, you won't notice these things!

Favorite therapists: Adam (fabulous pressure and technique, charming to spend time with), Chad (very "holistic" healer who also uses Reiki - amazing energy from him, though he may be hard to book!), Niki, and Erica M., my current "regular;" she is just incredible - intuitive and a true touch therapist. My friend who is a dancer and requires a more aggressive, sports-type massage than I do also highly recommends Aaron - he couldn't say enough great things about his session with him!

I also love their gift certificates, and the opportunity to share this place with friends. It's a gift that really gives back - the friends I have referred here always return the favor by sending me back every birthday and Christmas! A great tradition to start with your friends. Enjoy!

I wouldn't recommend this place to anyone. The people were nice, but I didn't receive the "typical" massage that I expected to get. The lady who worked on me (Dodi), touched a pressure point behind my ear. I told her it hurt, but she didn't stop. She also unexpectedly pulled on my ears which also obvioulsy didn't feel good at all. I left feeling lightheaded and still feel that way after two months. Overall, I had a really bad experience.

When I walk in to Healing Hands I immediately feel relaxed. It is very clean and decorated nicely. I've tried other "budget" or "no frills" massages spa's and there is usually no aesthetic or the place is just a mess. I walk into Healing Hands and I feel right at home. Every therapists I've tried is very good but different, so ask the receptionist who they recommend based on what you need. It's also very rare to be able to park right in front. Parking can be very stressful in LA and that defeats the purpose of getting a massage. Really nice place!

I am a massage therapist and therefore quite choosy when it's my turn to receive. I have yet to be disappointed at HH. I've had at least 7 or 8 different therapists (sometimes I request, sometimes I take the luck of the draw), and each one has impressed me in their own way. What they've had in common is a superior knowledge of the human anatomy and a natural gift for healing through bodywork. The front desk has always been very helpful and friendly. I send all my friends and even some of my own clients when I'm out of town! That's how highly I regard the therapists at Healing Hands. And FYI - they have an awesome chiropractor and acupuncturist too.

I scheduled a massage with a male therapist who had received glowing remarks on this site and was utterly disappointed by the experience. His energy was negative and it really affected the quality of the massage. I thought I'd treat myself to a well needed massage and scheduled a 90 minute session, suffice it to say that it was the only time I had a massage where I couldn't wait for the massage to end. I should have ended it soon after it began, but I was looking to spare the therapist embarrassment.

Also, I was very disappointed by the facility. The massage rooms are located immediately off the reception area so there is too much noise.

I will never return to Healing Hands for tissue work.
