This bridal salon is amazing. First class staff and service - without any pretentious people you often find when shopping around Union Square. I was a little hesitant to go here at first, but Im soooo glad I went!!

The salon is located in a large open white space. Its spacious, yet warm & inviting. You almost feel like its your are in your very own closet of wedding dresses. Their selection is very diverse... it covers many different styles.

But the best characteristic about the salon is the staff. What I loved the most was their attitude to their clients. Every person I came across there strives to give you a very personal shopping experience. They take their time to find out what you like and combine it with their expertise of what will look best on you. Most importantly, they use your budget as guide - however they do not let it dictate the options available to you (as some other bridal shops so rudely did).

From the moment you walk in to the moment you walk out - the customer service is strong and unwavering. They put all others to shame.

Special Recognition: Most of my interactions were with Nicole and I just loved her. I felt like she was a big sister to me who had a genuine interest in helping me find the perfect dress for me. My bridesmaids and I felt like she was part of our family. She made finding the perfect dress so easy!!

I had been to Alexandra Bridal Salon with a friend some time ago, so I had already seen the space. Everything is white, spotless and clean. The store manager, Nicole, is so sweet. I knew that once I got engaged, I would be back to make an appointment.

The dresses-- all designer-- are kept in mint condition. On the day of the appointment, I was assisted by Hannah. The dresses were fantastic!! I just wish that they had more of a selection in my size! Since I'm petite, most of the dresses were way too big for me. Even though I didn't find the perfect dress, I would recommend this salon to all brides coveting a designer dress.

I had been on my wedding dress search for quite sometime when i made my appointment at Alexandra. I was so frustrated that I hadn't found I dress yet I was so unexcited about going to another store. Then I arrived at Alexandra and everything I previously felt went to the wayside. The business has a great location and nice and relaxed atmosphere. I had my appointment at 5:00 on saturday just before they closed and had the whole store to myself. The girls working there were so helpful and friendly. I would go back ina second. I ended up finding the perfect dress for me, for less then $3,000, with amazing quality and eveything I needed. They didn't mind us taking pictures and we all had a good time. I would highly recommend Alexandra I would schedule an appointment when no ones is there so you can get totally spoiled.

I ordered a dress for a wedding in August. I was measured and told they would order a dress according to those measurements. When I questioned the size, I was told the dress line I ordered ran larger than most. I also paid a rush fee to have it in time, even though I ordered it more than 16 weeks before I received it (the lead time they specify for orders).

When the dress arrived it didn't fit. Big surprise! The girl that measured me was quick to tell me that I had gained weight, and that this was, "a common problem with a lot of brides."

She "remeasured me" and told me my bust was 2.5 inches larger, and I had gained 3 inches in my waist. Funny, my same clothes and bras fit me. Then she asked me if I "had a long torso?" When I replied yes, she said, "I should have asked that before." When I asked if the dress could be taken out a little and the straps be let out for my "long torso", she said, "I don't know, I am not a seamstress." Really? I thought this was a dress shop?

With the wedding three weeks away, I have been faced with working out and being on a special diet, so I can get the dress to fit, but it doesn't fix my "long torso" problem. So far I have dropped a full size (smaller than when I went in to get measured) and the dress still doesn't fit, because the torso is too short.

Forced to sign the waiver, on my way out, the dress was already paid for, I had no other options. Her final comment, "if it was my fault, I would do something for you, but it's not."

I took the dress to a tailor, and she told me there is not enough of a seam to lengthen the shoulder, the designer left a minimum of a 1/4" seam. Nice work.

Being such a high brow shop, you would think they would be concerned with making the customer happy. I found it hard to believe she didn't know if the dress could be let out, it's a bridal shop! They just wanted me gone. It's not a hard job to take measurements and order a dress accordingly. If anything, they should have ordered it a size larger if it is a common problem for brides to gain weight, better too big than too small. I guess I didn't warrant decent treatment since I ordered only one dress, and it was only $450. If I had walked in and spent $5000 maybe they would have given me some service. So do yourself a favor and go to Bella Bridal. Much better.

Who cares if celebrities go there. If your dress doesn't fit for your wedding, they ain't paying to fix it.

Unfriendly, unprofessional, and pushy. Its an experience I want to forget. They rush you through, pressure you and when you say you need to think about it, they get rude. They have beautiful gown, but there are other places where you can find the same gowns, and everyone price matches!

Alexadra Bridal Salon is a wonderful place to shop for wedding gowns and formal dresses for that special occassion. They also make custom gowns. They carry all the accessories for your occassion and they carry tux as well. The owner is wonderful and very very knowledgable in weddings. The price are extremely high but the quality of clothing is excellent. Alexandra is an expert.

For some reason I often find myself at bridal shops with friends and relatives who are looking for a dress for the big day. While usually this is a task reserved for girlfriends and gay friends I guess I just have that "I can help you pick out a dress" look. So I found myself at Alexandra Bridal Salon one afternoon. This is definitely one of the nicest bridal shops I've been to - and I've been to a few - how many guys can say that or would want to? The space is very contemporary and they have a lot of great designers on display. I am not exactly up on the big names in wedding dress design but I really thought the Richard Tyler designs were beautiful. The service, while not perfect which it should be for all of you princesses out there, was definitely a notch above Vera Wang. As a matter of fact I would call Alexandra Bridal Salon the anti-Vera Wang. One note of caution: your appointment is timed to the second so make the best use of the clock. I am not sure if it's true but I thought I overheard someone saying this was where Katie Holmes was getting her gown for the big walk down the aisle with Tom Cruise. If it's good enough for Katie then it's good enough for you girlfriend.

PROS: Great location, easy parking
CONS:
