I researced the topic selling gold via googled and read through several websites to get educated. Ilike the education value of SDJB's site, especially the 7 key questions to ask. I then called three stores and asked those key questions and got a bunch of slimmy answers except from SDJB who also provided the best price quote over the phone (they answered there own posted questions). We were treated by friendly, knowledgeable staff and I got a fair deal, more than what another store quoted. And, the free parking across the street from their store front downtown made it a painless experience.

Staff was very friendly, and knowlegable. Lindsey was very welcoming and Carl took time out to explain a few jewerly tips which I hadn't known. I felt I got a reasonable price on all pieces I sold. I definatley would recommend to others.

I just sold some white gold & gold to them the other day and was so impressed that I came back the following day with more gold to sell to them. They welcome you with drinks and basically anything to make you feel comfortable and to best assist each person. This is the best place in town to sell your gold because they WILL give you the best rate. In fact, you'd be absolutly out of your mind if you go to a pawn shop- they rip you off hands down. SD jewelry buyers are run by hip-young people who know what they are doing and will guranteed give you the best rate for your jewels... ; ) I was helped by Clinton and Lindsay who are two very great workers and have BEST CUSTOMER SERVICE stamped on their forheads. 10 thumbs up to this place

I could not have hoped for a better experience than I had working with Carl. I was gifted a watch that I didn't need. I considered selling it online, but all my research on the value of the item raised more questions than answers. Also, I haven't had the best experiences with online auction sites. Carl and his staff shared a wealth of information with about my watch and its resale value. I was completely comfortable with the process. I would highly recommend his service to anybody.

WOW I was really amazed by their customer service!!! I went there by chance a lovely woman (both senses of the word) helped me find a ring for my daughters 15th birthday.Llinsday was the best she helped me find a beautiful turquous ring only $11.00! ! ! I plan on being a repeat customer and recommend them to my friends and family.

Highly Recommend, after searching on line I came across the reviews for San Diego Jewelry Buyers, I decided to give them a try so I called and scheduled an appointment. This was the first time I have ever sold any of my gold jewelry so I was a bit nervous since I have heard of all the scams out there. What a relief when we met with Carl and his staff. Carl is very personable, friendly and professional. He answered all of our questions without hesitation. I thought he was very straightforward and knowledgeable. He will weigh your items in front of you and for the items that he cannot read the stamp on he will test them. He even explained the testing process to us. He was very upfront and explained the steps he uses to calculate the prices he pays. Wow what a surprise, I thought I was going to get a lot less then what he actually paid. I definitely walked away feeling like I had been treated very fairly. If I decide to sell any more of my jewelry I will definitely go back and I will be telling all of my friends and family about SDJB.

I had an excellent experience with SDJB. Carl & his staff were great to work with and Carl gave me very fair money for my jewelry. His staff is super courteous and knowledgable. And Carl is the best. He did a superb job of explaining the process and how he determines what to pay for incoming jewelry. For quit awhile i hag been thinking about selling some old gold jewelry that was broken and/or that i no longer wanted, but i kept on putting it off, because i had a bad exerience in the past. so i had to do some research on the internet before anything. while doing that i came across a jewelry that only had nothing but positive comments about Carl Blackburn and about SDJB so i gave them a call, but in my mind i keep on thinking its too good to be true, but let me tell you after metting Carl my experience was great i got more money then i thought i was going to get. so i left VERY happy..

When looking to sell some jewelry I looked online and found a few places in san Diego. I went to another store before going to SDJB. I was pleasantly surprised when I got there and was offered twice as much as the previous store front I went to. I was treated well while there and was in and out quickly. He was referred to me by a co-worker who had researched on line selling her gold. She, then another co-worker, tested the waters with Carl. I had shopped many different buyers and had even sold some gold thinking I was getting a great price. After meeting with Carl I found that he truly pays top dollar and I will not go anywhere else. He was both friendly and professional and really took the time to look at my jewerly before offering a price. When I left his store I did not feel that I had just been scammed as I had in a previous transaction. Do not waste your time with anyone else. I recommend Carl to all my family and friends. For quite awhile I had been thinking about selling some old gold jewelry that was broken and/or that I no longer wear, but I kept putting it off because I was not sure it would be worth my time and also I wasn't looking forward to dealing with a buyer. I was really very hesitant because I have heard a lot of negative things about the places where you send your gold off in an envelope etc. However, I did some research on the internet and found nothing but positive comments about Carl Blackburn and San Diego Jewelry Buyers so I decided to visit SDJB even though I was not sure if my few broken pieces were worth their time--I could not have been more wrong! Carl was extremely nice and patient with my many questions and stayed past his usual closing time. It was a pleasure to deal with Carl and the amount I was paid for my gold was a VERY pleasant surprise. I have been handing out SDJB business cards to my friends and colleagues and several of them have taken their gold to Carl and had the same experience. I highly recommend visiting Carl or at least giving him a call if you have any gold or jewelry that you no longer wear. Carl also has some beautiful jewelry for sale at excellent prices--I'm looking forward to returning to make a purchase!

Very friendly, personable, and quick! I didn't know what to expect when I walked into SDJB, but I was pleasantly surprised. I didn't get a creepy pawn shop feeling, and I feel like I got a great price for my bangle. The location was great because their was a parking lot across the street. I look forward in doing business with them in the future.

Carl bought some old junk gold jewelry from me and I found some new jewelry for my wife for x-mas! He offered my a fair price for my scrap and took care of me on an eternity band jus in tie for the holiday. Now I look like a hero, and still have cash in my pocket from the deal! Thanks carl!

When my wife requested I help her sell her gold, I spent two weeks reading reviews, sending emails and reading the fine print on out of state buyers websites. Out of all my inquires San Diego Jewelry Buyers responded in a candid professional manner. We ended up doing selling our gold with them and we walked out knowing we did not get ripped off. They took their time, explained the process and paid more than we expected. If your still trying to decide where to sell you gold, I recommended you give SDJB a call and at least talk to them. No BS, just a straightforward honest appraisal of the Rolex I was selling, and a full explanation of why they were offering me that price. These guys are consummate professionals.

I had did a lot of calling around before heading downtown to visit San Diego Jewelry Buyers to talk about an old art deco necklace that I wanted to sell. I have to say talking with them was a breath of fresh air. Rather than just talking about stones and gold weight, they went right into talking about the small company that made the piece, the design, and where they thought they could find a good buyer. I took advantage of their one month free loan, and eventually got a price at least 20% higher than other offers. I couldnt recommend them more highly.
