Other stores exist, but REI is the biggest and best when it comes to outdoor gear. Big selection of items, from tents to backpacks to bikes to outdoor shoes, etc. We are regular customers and look forward to our annual dividend (a member benefit)

I love REI. You can find just about anything outdoor-related there. We've bought tents and sleeping bags there, as well as other outdoor equipment. However, more recently I've shopped there for clothing and shoes. All the merchandise is high quality, but also can be a little on the pricey side.

REI has the best selection of outdoor equipment and clothes. Their items are high quality. The staff all seem to be outdoor enthusiasts, so they are very helpful. My international friends all have to stop off here when in town.

This is a great store for camping and hiking equipment. They have a huge selection. I have also bought bike racks there and they had just what I needed in stock. The staff is always very knowledgeable and friendly.

This place had a great selection of anything outdoors. I didn't see a huge fishing section but didn't really look either.

Lots of help wandering around to assist if necessary.

REI is a nice place to buy outdoor stuff. They have all kinds of equipment and they have good price. The staff are very friendly and helpful. They help my brother and I to find everything we need. You can also join their membership to save more money. If you are looking for these stuff, you have to go to REI.

If you are planning to go to camping and outdoor activities this is the right place for you. They have amazing equipment for your next outdoor trip. The staff is knowledgable and will help you right to the final purchase. Plenty of parking space. Great selection of camping gear and the quality brands available at some of the best prices in the area.

MY FRIEND GOES ROCK CLIMBING AND BIKING, SO WE WENT HERE TO GET HER EQUIPMENT. I DO NOT KNOW MUCH ABOUT SPORTS AND SUCH BUT THE STORE LOOKED VERY NICE AND CLEAN. WE GOT A LOT OF USEFUL HELP TO DECIDE WHAT WE WANT TO GET AND PURCHASE. IT WAS A REALLY NICE STORE AND I ENJOYED THE TRIP.

Pay $15 to become a lifteime member of REI. As a member, you get unlimited lift ticket discounts to most major Tahoe ski resorts (for instance $10 off at Northstar, $6 off at Squaw). This lifetime membership paid for itself as soon as I bought two lift tickets for me and my wife.

In addition, you'lll get great discounts off other REI merchandise. Even if you're not an avid outsdoorsman, you'll easily make your $15 back quickly.

REI has alot of outdoors stuff for both the beginner or the advanced adventurer. The staff at REI are friendly and helpful. You can go to their website to search for your products. When you go online, there is a clearance section that you can find some pretty good deals every now and again.

And they will rent things like tents, and other equipment to you for a fee, of course. There are tons of stuff for any outdoors person at REI, and since it is a co-op you can get money back at the end of the year - kinda like a Discover card.
