Camarillo Sunshine Apartments

Unfortunately I do live here and there is nothing good to say about the building, the on site manager and the management company. The building is not maintained well, the gym is absolutely filthy, and if you are a tenant you are treated as a serf. The tenant is responsible for everything - the building seems to ignore state laws and generally tries to screw the tenants. There is no sense of community - it's tenants against management. I've been living with leaks and a ruined carpet for over a year & the leaks have gone on for close to 5 or 6 years. The 5 or 6 times I have used the oven the fire alarms go off. When I moved in I was told that management left a towel rack in the kitchen - yes they left it because they or anyone else cannot physically remove it and watch I will be charged for it when I move. Pet security fees seem to change (no consistency or policy). You cannot do laundry when it rains because the laundry room is in the sub basement and it accumulates 3 - 4 inches of water at any given time.Has been like this for years and NOTHING has been done about it. The secondary lobby has leaked/flooded so often that it smells like mold and they can't even clean the carpeting. Do yourself a favor and do not even look at this property because it's a waste of time and energy

We lived in this building for 9 years and then sadly, moved out of the area. When we moved back to North Hollywood, we were lucky that there was an apartment available at Camarillo Sunshine Apartments because it is a great place to live.
The manager and family are friendly and keep the building, inside and out, clean and clutter free. They take care of repairs quickly.
The management company does things that I have never seen or heard of another company doing, steam cleaning the trash shoots, preventative measures like cleaning the pipes before Thanksgiving to make sure that there wasn't a back up from all the food throw down the garbage disposals after the holidays.
The swimming pool and jacuzzi are nice and well maintained, as well as the weight room.

My husband and I have been living at Camarillo Sunshine Apartments for 11 years. It is a great place to live! The manager keeps the building clean, inside and out. It is quiet. They fix things quickly. They also have a maintenance man

I have lived in this building since 1999. I know most of the poeple in this building, and I know the person who was evicted, and wrote the terrible lies about the manager and her son. so many of the tenants were so afraid of this guy, that we convinced the manager to change the main locks on the building, and the remote controls on the garage after he was evicted.
The building is the best managed of any building I have ever lived. Problems are taken care of as soon as possible, usually immediately, and a maintenance man comes in once a week to take care of non-pressing issues.
I suggest that you stop by the apartments and ask anyone who lives here how they feel about our manager, and her son and daughter-in-law. You will here a completely different story than the lies told here. Don't let this idiot stop you from moving into a great place with a great manager!

We lived in teh camarillo sunshine apartments for about 4 years - the 2 bedrooms are very spacious - great floor plan - the building is older but there are some plusses to that - the pool is pretty good and best of all they rent a bit below what the going rate is - management is good - the place has a real get to know your neighbor feel - we so enjoyed our time there.

PROS: spacious, good fireplaces
