I love the food here so savory. I always crave for the beef entrees in their menu. So good!

I love it. Waiters are dressed to the nines. Starches are lip-smacking rice, black beans, plantains and yucca. Meats are sauced with garlic, onion and butter as they should be. Yet somehow, it tastes tired. Maybe it's boring. Maybe

I only go here for the roasted garlic chicken rice plate. The portion sizes are great and the plantain banana are delicous although the meal is a little bit greasy. The prices are great for the serving size. The bread they serve with each meal does taste a little stale, so I personally also avoid eating it. The service is good as well.

This restaurant is quite good. The garlic chicken is famous and the portions are very generous. One main dish can feed two people and allow you to get an appetizer!
4We always order and share #20. I don't remember the name but it is somewhat resembling beef stew meaty dish with red bell peppers and tomatoes - with rice, black beans, and plantains. Consistent good quality. Not too spicy, not fried, very

I was raised on Cuban food and have heard everyone in LA swear by it. I finally got to try it out myself and the food was just horrific. I got a Cuban sandwich, which must be the easiest thing on the menu to cook, and it came out so cold

After eating there a few times, I've really come to like the cuban food. They start you off with bread before you order and then move you on to your meal. I get the shrimp that they have in the somewhat spicy red sauce and it is very good. I don't care much for the beans that they supply you but the rice and plantains are very good. Pricing is a little higher than i'd prefer but still a good deal.
PROS: Good food
CONS: Uncomfortable tables/chairs

I know two friends who got sick here in the past year on separate occasions. Too bad, because the place used to be great. Loved the chicken. Prices were/are good, too. But stay away if you want to stay healthy.
1I don't usually write bad reviews but I tried this place 3 times...I don't find it any good...The oh-so-famous garlic chicken isn't bad but what is the fuss all about? The service is terrible, not helpful, they rush your meal to kick you

The food here is flat out good. Period. It may seem a little of the ordinary being Cuban, but everything I've had from sandwiches to soups were outstanding. For those that never eat these types of more exotic foods, its like going on a flavor journey through unchartered lands. Many items are priced under $10 which is a very good value. The quality of the ingredients is good, but the uniquely Cuban flavor is what keeps me going back.

I enjoyed my visit to Versailles very much. The chicken & rice meal is great (#9). My only disappointment was in the cleanliness of the dinning room and bathroom. The tables had that "sticky" film on the table that had built up for years. The bathroom was very bad. Someone needs to do some really cleaning so that he atmosphere does not ruin the great food.

Fantastic food, giant portions, reasonable prices, friendly staff. I've never had a bad meal here. After 7pm it gets crowded and the line stretches down the building, but it does move fast. The dining area is fairly large and the staff turns over tables quickly.
5It's ok. Sometimes there's a long line just to get in here--like a night club. Once you get in, the food is ok. Not bad, but not that great.
3I love Cuban food and thought I would enjoy it here also. Unfortunately, not true. I have been here twice with large groups so was able to sample different dishes. Most of the food was below average and greasy. The ropa vieja in particular is swimming in grease. The white rice and beans were okay. The place is always busy so I guess others don't agree with me.

I don't get it. There is nothing good about this place. The food is bland and full of fat. Food with this much fat should be good, but it's not.
2Maybe Versailles is overrated, I don't know. But I have always enjoyed their food immensely, once at the main location and a few times at the food court in Universal Citywalk. Don't get a sandwich there. Try the roasted garlic chicken plate; it's delicious. If you like Cuban food, I think you'll be pleased. And if you haven't tried Cuban food, you should.

This place is overrated. Everytime I have been there I have never been satisfied with my meal. It has a cafeteria atomosphere and a fast food feel to it. On the other hand the waiters and waitresses are extra friendly and always look like they are having a good time.
3This restaurant is so over rated. I have been there several times, each time to give it another try. No matter which dish I eat, I find myself repeatedly disappointed. I don't find the meals satisfying in any way and I don't find them authentic. The dishes are overcooked, greasy and boring. The bread they serve with each meal is so bland and is obviously not fresh. I wouldn't recommend this place to anyone.
