Pros: the best Pizza and Italian I could find
Cons: None that I see
I had been driving past this restaurant and always wanted to try it. Today we had a bacon pizza, a pepperoni pizza, hot wings and an anti-pasto salad. We washed it down with whire belgian ale that was frosty cold. The pizza is VERY

Pros: Pizza is very good, so are the wings, cold beer
Cons: Service is a little slow and poor
I'm from New York. It took me awhile to find a good, east-coast style wood-fired, thin, slightly charred crust pizza. This place does it well enough. It would rank a 7 out of 10 in NYC, which is good enough for out here. Highly recommended.

Pros: Good thing crust, woodfired pizza.
Great neighborhood joint. The pizza is perfectly cooked, the sauce is well spiced (and thankfully not sweat) and the toppings are fresh & of good quality. A great find.

Pros: Great pie, solid service
Everything that could have went wrong did. The food showed up over a half an hour late and very cold. We ordered mannicotti and received mislabled cannelloni instead, WITH CHICKEN IN IT, FOR A VEGATARIAN!!!! Any food that made my friend

I like this place. The pizza is great. It's like eating in your house. You wouldn't even think that this place is here. The only downside is the parking. So order your pizza to go!
4This is my first review, but I just had to voice my opinion about Nicky D's. I've traveled all over the states. No matter where I am, I always keep an eye out for good thin crust pizza like one can get in New York. After moving to LA, I

Pros: Great New York style pizza!!
Cons: Not within walking distance of my house
The variety of toppings really got my hopes up, but the basic pizza itself was terrible. First of all - totally soggy, squishy crust - blech. Secondly - NO TOMATO SAUCE. I mean , I went looking for it, but this pizza was just a blanket

Pros: Cute Place
Cons: Bad Pizza
What happened to this place.. Did this place do downhill. .or rather did better places spring up. The place has poor service, soggy lamp heated pizza, incompetent managers and lazy wait staff. No wonder new places like Tomato Pie Pizza is

I have given this place four tries. Only one time did I have a good meal and Ok service.... The other three times became progressively worse. Don't even think about complaining to the manager/owner. He wa son the verge of being a pig.

Pros: Good pizza when done right.
Cons: Awfull service and food never the way you want it.
Delicious Food. Especially the fried ravioli with marinara sauce.
The antipasto salad is great and will feed about four people.
If you are in the mood for dessert, then try the sweet cannoli.
Nicky D's used to be great. Truly great. Consistently terrific pizza, gelato, and atmosphere.\r

Pros: If they get your order right, then it will taste amazing
Cons: They rarely get your order right. Manager is oblivious (not Nick - he's great)
Very good pizzas, especially the ones with fresh vegetables. Perfect pizza crust. The pineapple's a favorite, with lots of hot sauce. The wait staff can be pretty surly, but I can't say that's terribly unusual for pizza places in LA. Also, the wine selection isn't the best. But go. And leave the car at home if you can.

Don't eat too much pizza but I have to say the Pesto Bravo Pizza is the best. Chunks of garlic, italian sausage, and pesto sauce, sooooooooo goood! Good sized pizza. The individual pizza's are also a good sized portion.
Cool set up inside.
Parking sucks, there are only 3 spaces so you'll usually have to find street parking.

Tried Nicky D's a second time. Ordered a pizza with thin crispy crust. The pizza was missing a topping, soggy thick crust and pretty much tasteless. Don't see what the buzz is about this place and don't see going back again, unless its for

Pros: cute atmosphere
Cons: not so good pizza. need chef ramsey.
I love Nicky D's...one of the best pizza's I've had in my lifetime. The place is small and cozy, I've never had to wait a ridiculous amount of time to be seated. The staff is really friendly. Good wine list, excellent entrees and salads!!

Pros: The patio seems charming
Cons: Pizza with wet, limp crust, inattentive servers
The pizza is thin and the crust is fluffy and delicious. They put on just the right amount of cheese and toppings. The patio is like sitting in someone's back yard--no LA attitude here. I think this may be the best pizza that I have

Pros: PIZZA!!!!!
Perhaps some of the best pizza i have had outside of the New York area. Almost as good as Nino's on Long Island, almost. If you are jonesn' for some pizza and you live in Silver Lake, do yourself a favor and h!t Nicky D's.

The owner of Nicky D's is originally from Connecticut so knowing this, I had to order a garlic clam pizza on white sauce. After taking a bite, Connecticut's loss is Silverlake's gain. Local's don't have to endure ridiculously long waits

We went for the first time just recently and found it to be amazing! The food was great, it was kid friendly and the service was good. It's kind of small, but if you want to order in I'm sure the food would still be just as good! Watch

This place was great. The service was good, the pizza (large cheese w/ tomatoes, mushrooms & basil) was wonderfully fresh. The "hotwings" seemed suspiciously done with a coating similar to Shake 'N Bake, but were satisfying nonetheless for

The pizza here is awesome, best in the LA area in my opinion. Like the other reviewer said, Nicky is quite a character and always makes for good times. The back patio is the best place to sit and parking is tight, but we always park at

Pros: Great Pizza, Location, Nicky!
Looking for the tops in LA? Look no further. Period. The wings are also superb. Nicky himself is quite a character and makes excellent conversation. Ask him about the stones in the wood-fired oven: "They came straight off the boat

Come to Nicky D's for the best pizza in the so-cal area. Great New York style pizza with a vast selection of toppings. The ambience is great, and the locale is near the trendy Silverlake area.
