because of the construction, the parking situation was rather confusing at first. they were smart though and put signs up telling you how to get to the ice rink. the employees were rather unfriendly and they looked like they would rather be anywhere but the rink. they had so many rules which they announced over the loudspeaker right before public skating was over. they really should have posted them somewhere visible, or explained them when people buy their tickets or pick up their skates. it was a bit dirty inside but the skating was still fun.

I love this place. My nieces kids ice skate there and her son is on the travel hockey team. The staff are helpful and would recommend this place to anyone. In a couple of years they are building a new rink. If you go i know you will have a lot of fun there.

My kids have been playing ice hockey here for the last 10 years! They love the sport and we love the Pasadena Hockey Association. They are all parents and family friends who volunteer to serve the hockey teams. This gives the kids, ages 5-14, a fabulous opportunity to learn and develop without the stress and trauma that can occur from coaching staffs. We know from personal experience how bad it can get elsewhere!

I've been to this ice skating rink for quite some time now and I've had awesome memories from it. One was from after prom and about twenty of us all rented out the rink at midnight and played broomball for about 3 hours (you get a stick, a ball, and you're in tennis shoes) and we had an absolute blast. The rink is of decent quality too, with a few video games on the side to boot.

If you enjoy ice skating and live near Pasadena than Pasadena ice skating center is the place for you. I have been here a couple of times for a fundraiser and every time I had a great experience. If you have been skating for years or just started, you can still come here to have a good time.

A great place to have fun. It can get crowded, however. But definitely the place to go for family and/or friends. They offer a discount for larger groups, too. Also, for a small fee, the skating ring gives skate rentals, which is convenient for those who don't have skates, which is most of the general public.

I have been here a couple of times and always had fun. There are plenty of room to skate especially if you're just learning for the first time, you wouldn't want to run into other skaters. It helps to have room to practice. The parking is adequate, but you'll have to pay. The prices are reasonable for skate rentals.

I've never been good at ice skating but sometimes go if coerced by friends. The rink is a very large one and on the occassions that I've gone, it has never been so crowded that I could not manuevuer myself around. They have this "cheapskate" deal during certain times for, well, people who are want to be cheap skaters. It usually is $7 for the deal (skates + time on the ice) so its a better deal than the $10 for skates and time on the ice. Supposedly will be remodeled/renovated soon; not sure. Should call business to find out if they have any special hours.

The Pasadena Ice Skating Center is a fun place to take the kids and family for ice skating. They have a large rink so many people at once can ice skate. It is also ideal for couples to go to. They hold events and also give lessons.

Friendly employees that are helpful and care about eveyone having a great time while on the ice. Hockey or figure skates available for rental and plenty of lockers for personal items that lock for a fee.

PROS: Week days are slow if you need space
CONS: Not a "full scale" rink, slightly shorter

Nice place to go. Affordable. They rent skates. The rink can be rented out off hours for broom ball.

This is a great place for a broomball party or just informal ice skating. I mean where else in the Pasadena area can you enjoy playing on ice during the winter! They have all sorts of lessons and classes. I took a beginners class here as a kid and still rememeber the basics. Great venue for kid's parties too.

I thought this was a fun place to ice skate. I'm not an ice skating expert, but it was clean and not too crowded, so there was plenty of room for me to fall all over the place. I rented their skates, which were a little uncomfortable, but still manageable. Parking can be difficult - mostly parallel parking on surrounding streets. It's conveniently located near Paseo so you can go for dinner or a movie afterware/beforehand.

Ice skating rinks are so uncommon these days so they are a bit hard to rate but the Pasdena one is pretty good and I would rate it a bit higher than the other rink I am familiar with which is the Culver City one, but both offer an enjoyable skating experience. The parking for the Psadena Center is rather expensive so you may want to just park in the mall across the street and get a validation from a store there or look for street parking.

The ice skating is place perfect, the rink is big, the place is lil crowded on weekends though. Staff is very helpful and being beginner they took time to give tips when I asked them. Some of the lockers are bad and are just to drain your money. Parking might be lil difficult unless you park in Paseo colorado and also once done Paseo colorado is just opposite and so nice place to hang out later as well.

Pros: Big skating rink, nice neighbourhood and eating joints, good staff

Cons: Parking,
