Chaucer's Books

This is what I call my last resort bookstore. Sometimes if I can't find a book at Barnes & Noble or Borders, I try here. They don't carry some of the book I read by Red Dress Ink which is points against them.

PROS: Friendly people
CONS: Dont carry some books.

Chaucers Books in Santa Barbara has a very good selection of academic books and a large selection of childrens books. They have a lot of calendars and stuff like Dover booklets of stickers. The atmosphere is comfortable and pleasanta person could spend many hours browsing here. The workers are helpful and very nice. Books are piled everywhere. Good selection of zen books. Theres a display table with new books, and books of local interest are prominently displayed too.

Located in Loreto Plaza, Chaucer's is a great place to shop for books. They always have new arrivals and top sellers. They helpful staff will order a book if they do not have it in stock. Prices are comparable to the large chain book stores. A great place to shop for holiday gifts too!

Chaucer's is a great place to find books! You can order from amazon or the others, or go to a big chain store, but you won't get the same attention to detail or the same careful book selection you do at chaucers. Great bookstore!
