Thornton Winery makes a great Champagne style wine. The location is great and the food at the tasting room and in the restaurant is worth going to. The club is a great deal.
4First off, do not bring the children here for the sunday sit down brunch if they are picky eaters. Ours are pretty open minded but they try to do too much fancy stuff with the waffles, eggs, and pancakes that the kids hardly touched theirs due to all the non-tradiotional toppings and seasonings. They did not offer simpler fare for the kids either. That said, although we don't really like Thornton wines but the food the adults had were fabulous and it is a lively atmosphere.

If you are ever headed down the 15 fwy towards San Diego I recommend a stop in the Temecula Valley at Thornton, their sparkling wines are some of the best in the area! They have scheduled tours (free) and educational tastings ($10pp) on the weekends that are very informative. If you go mid week their tasting room is just off the gift shop, it looks more like a caf, with indoor seating by a cozy fireplace or if you prefer to sit outside there is a large outdoor patio. The staffhas always been friendly and helpful to answer novice or more advanced wine questions. The tasting room offers sits down service with complimentary bread and goat cheese spread. Appetizers may be ordered as well. Tastings range from $9-$15.
