I have gone here a few times at lunch time and the restaurant can fill up very quickly. I don't eat sushi, but I love the Bento boxes. Teriyaki chicken, and teriyaki pork ribs, are both delicious. The service is very quick, and prices are reasonable.

I like to go here during the lunch our with my co-workers the place is very busy during lunch however they are fast. We love the food here the lunch boxes are always a big hit. The prices are good

Often very busy during the lunch hour, this long-time favorite is also open for dinner. In addition to consistently fresh and flavorful sushi and sashimi, they have a wide range of other dishes available. Their salmon teriyaki is always a favorite, along with their udon noodle bowls.
The service is always prompt, and the staff is extremely friendly. Great for take-out too!

This is my favorite Japanes restaurant for any occasion. Whether it be for an intimate birthday dinner with several friends or a romantic date with a special someone, the service, atmosphere and food all satisfy. I love the dragon rolls and tempura. A bento box added to any specialty sushi plate is perfect for two. Top it all off with some Mochi and you have a perfect Japanese meal. The food is always consistently delicious, and I've been a patron for several years now. Do go and check it out.
Pros: Intimate setting, friendly and fast service, fresh and delicious food
Cons: Japan town can be congested on certain days. Restaurant is small so busy days can leave you outside waiting.
I just went here last night. This place has amazing Salmon Sashimi, best ever. Use the Ponzu sauce, is really good. Spicy Tuna is amazing too. Everything is fresh here.

This Japanese Rest is one of the VERY best in San Jose. Very nice service, Food is always Hot and Fresh. Sushi is fresh and California rolls are made with OUT that nasty crab salad so they are PERFECT! My recommendation: CA ROLLS and a Chicken Donburi! Can get busy around dinner but they try their best to seat you promptly. To avoid the parking madness, park across the street from Blockbuster, its free after 6.

I've been going to Tsugaru since I was 10, and the food has been consistantly good for the past 13 years. The sushi is great, and so are the entrees, especially the beef teriyaki.
Pros: inexpensive, good food, short wait for table
