Horrible store. I came with a lightning cable that didn't work anymore. Originally got at a Sprint store back in March with the money earned from my recycled phone. Because it didn't look like the store's was sent back to Sprint.

I had the worst experience at this store today April 26, 2011.
Yes i totally agree rude employees unless you are making a purchase they won't help you. My husband and I some long research for at least 6 months and both agree that buying a Mac computer would be the best investment. Anyways we bought our Mac in Dec 2010, and pay $2,500 plus the warranty program another $ 200 and both have the I phones. Our friends and families are all Mac users including a younger sister who we helped buy a Pro Mac with some of her college savings. I decided to reset the password on my I phone last night and of many passwords I've reset it to one i couldn't remember. I called ATT who is my provider and said they will help me out but had to go through some steps, i found difficult to understand (I'm not a computer wiz!!! SOUNDED like you had to be one in order to figure it out). I called the APPLE store and there was a 20 minute wait on the pone.. by now iv'e already tried all these different passwords. So i decide to drive to the nearest APPLE STORE in Santa Monica 3rd street promanade.. The minute i walk into the the store the sales rep asks me how can he help me? i explain the problem and he automatically tells me there is no way he can help me with resetting the password says to me i would have to buy a new phone. ( yeah who has $200 bucks laying around?) then asks me when is your contract over? Then says well have seat there is a 30 minute wait. Thank god that while waiting now for more than the 30 mins... in the mean time i've remembered my password.. after my husband and i paid all that money and purchased the warranty that we never had to use we get treated like this.. Other customers that i saw coming in out the store were help right away by the same sales rep..This is the kind of treatment you get.. I will never recommend Apple to any one bad service..Money hungry company.. Seems like all the employees care about is making their profit they don't care about keeping their customers happy after all the thousands of money you spend.. I hope that i don't have to walk into that store again. BADDDDD SERVICE!

I took my computer to this store to be fixed over a week ago.First of all, when I took it in..it was on a Sunday. There was a recall on certain parts of my computer. The employee gave me a form to fill out.Which I did.In turn I gave him my computer. He said we will call you within 24 hours.I called them the next day because I noticed the copy of the form they had me fill out did not have the repair number listed, nor the name of the employee who helped me !
When I called they could'nt find my computer !
They finally found it and then gave me a repair id number. Then I was told it would be 3 to 4 days when it's repaired.I phoned every day for an update...by the 6th day they still had'nt gotten to the repair-even though they said they had the repair parts there ! Also,I spoke to one or two nice people-one whose namer was Alexis and Paul..the other 3 were rude and nasty and did'nt seem to know about the parts already being there and spoke down to me like I was a little boy who did something wrong. My theory is..the paying customer's have priority...I was put on the back burner since my computer was being fixed for free because of a recall and because I had the Apple Protection Plan.
on the 8th day I spoke to a very nice lady named Alexis who said she would have someone fix it when they come in at 2pm...about 2:15 I got a call that it was fixed !
I picked it up at the end of the day..while I waited to pick it up they had me fill out another form. The employee in the Genius department went back with me to get the computer.I had brought it in originally with the power cord attached. When he brought the repaired computer there was no power cord !
He said "we never accept power cords when a computer is brought in for a repair"I told him"you did this time when I brought my computer in,please look for my power cord"! He went back and about 10 minutes later he had a power cord with my name on a tape around it !
Personally,I probably won't go back to that store again.I feel like an intruder or someone who was punished.
Maybe management does'nt treat their employee's well there.
I was nice to them and understanding.

This place is awesome if you love looking at all the new gadgets out there. The staff are really friendly and explain anything you dont understand (in English, not some wacky computer lingo)
The only complaint I had, was that I found it really hard to find a member of staff who could help me. There needs to be a small customer service desk in my opinion (not at cash register) and they can call someone who is free to talk to you if you need help!

this may be my least favorite of the apple stores, mostly because of it's location. The 3rd St Promenade can be extraordinarily crowded on weekends or holidays and it can be difficult and expensive to find parking. The shopping crowd filters into the Apple store, whetther their serious Apple shoppers or not, making it hard to make a quick purchase or get a question answered. There's nothing wrong with the store essentially--great merchandise displays, knowledgeable staff, etc--but it can draw a rather unmanageable crowd. We just need more Apple stores everywhere.

The Apple Store located in the 3rd Street Promenade in Santa Monica is a great place to go to and spend some time in--even if you don't have the cash to buy something. Tons of computers and iPods are on display so if you've never had a hands on experience with Apple products you'll have the chance there. When I went I even saw a celebrity! So you never know who you'll catch out there in Santa Monica. The personnel are friendly and don't barge in on your business like other stores have their workers do. In the back of the store there is a huge screen where Macintosh tutorials are presented. There's a kid section. And a section devoted to customer service and repair. Definitely the place to go to if you're an Apple addict like me.

They have the best prices on MAC's anywhere. Service is always fast and good. I have spent thousands in this store and been happy with every purchase.
They sell refurbised items with a warranty and you can't beat their prices.
It's also fun to just play with all the new gadgets on display. I mean, it's a techie dreamhouse.

Fun place to play with all of the cool gadgets. there is usually a presentation of some new software going on in the back of the store. The sales people are knowledgable and friendly. We were there for hours buying 3 new laptops for work and they patiently helped us out, set us up and were available later on for additional questions.
