It's not easy to find good Thai food but I like this place. It's not purely authentic but it's good. The prices have jumped a bit in the last few years but it's still worth it. I like the duck rolls, veggie rolls, and all the noodle

The curry at this place is watered down poo. The vegetables are undercooked. The portions are small and WAY over priced!!! I spent 12 bucks on two tiny crab cakes and a box full of lettuce! Ordered delivery and it showed up cold and soggy.

Cons: Price high, quality is a joke.
Happy hour is the best kept secret at Chan Dara on Pico.
Drinks and appetizers are half-price from 4-7PM!!!
Even a Grey Goose Martini is half price!! That's about $5 bucks and change guys! You can't beat this deal. And the appetizers are the best in town and I consider it dinner. The beef satay is to die for. Cooked rare and huge portions and i must repeat... AT HALF PRICE!! The bartenders are all asian girls (except for 1 latina) and are friendly, attentive and cute! And even free shots for the bar if you stay long enough!! I generally go once a week.
And they have new Flat panel TV's so you can watch the game in Hi-Def!!

This place has great Satay. The decor is great, the service is great, and the food is excellent. It's somewhat pricey for thai food, but every dish is outstanding. It does get crowded at dinner time, so expect to wait for a table if

Cons: Price & crowded
Ok. After reading some of the reviews I hesitated in bringing my boyfriend to Chan Dara for dinner. But not only is the staff beautiful (both male and female) but they were very nice and gave excellent service. I guess if you are afraid

Yes, there's lots of Thai food restaurants in Los Angeles...and yes, some of the places do have good food. But Chan Dara deserves to be in a league of their own and they're far from being a hole-in-the-wall (though there are some good ones

A good friend recommended this place. He and his wife have been going there for the last 10yrs. I have to say that the recommendation is right on. We ran late for our reservation, but was greeted by a very sweet young lady and seated right

Pros: food, W. LA location, service
Cons: parking, price, noise level
Since when does a restaurant need to pander to a bunch of girl-watchers? This is a reliable Thai restaurant and would be welcome anywhere else but the phony town of LA.
Just went there, food was great and service was well above average

The food is presented beautifully, it's noisy, busy, and you can eat alone here without feeling "alone." The menu is great, with fresh specials, but the food is a bit toned down for the general public palate. The spicy sauces were barely so, but each dish was cooked perfectly.

Of course, this place is famous for its waitresses - and on the whole, they don't dissapoint. The food isn't bad either - but definitely a little overpriced for what you get. Try the Peking duck rolls - a tasty little sample of the real

Great thai food here. A little pricey, but this isnt one of those hole-in-the-wall thai takeout spots. The chicken noodles is one of my favorite dishes--it's flavorful, steaming hot, and the chicken is tender. The other specialty dishes are usually great as well. This place used to have commercials of seductive asian women saying, "come to Chan dara!" between shots of their food dishes. Always cracks me up every time I think about it. In any case, they are known to have quite a few of these kinds of women as waitresses here...if you care about that kind of thing.

Pros: crowded, large menu, nice interior
Cons: , terrible food, horrible service
My friends love coming to Chan Dara's, and the place is great, the food is not. The people who think the Thai food is great here don't know what actual Thai food is. The first time I came, I brought relatives from Thailand, and we didn't

Chan Dara is a fusion Thai food restaurant. The food here are good, but it not authentic Thai food. It's more like an upscale Thai food, food here looked good. It looked good enough to eat. Most of the dishes here are sweet, I dont like

Other than service, nothing is so great. The food is pretty much over price. Nothing taste authentic. The service is great, only if your party are all guys. They tend to be nice to males.

I lived in the Seattle area for a long time and are a huge fan of Thai. Moving to LA, I had a hard time finding a good place, one that compared to the old faithfuls in Seattle. Chan Dara has become my new "Old Faithful". When I'm hungry

Pros: service, food quality, consistency
It was probably the most superb Thai food that I have ever tried. The only problem was that it was the worst service that I had ever experienced. It was very obvious that surrounding tables were receiving way better service than we did.

The atmosphere is upscale casual, a nice place to take a first date. The food is definitely Americanized, but it's flavorful and scores high on presentation. A little pricey for what you get, but still worth a try.
