I send my nieces and nephews to the Cerritos College Community Education Summer Youth Program every year - it is top notch! They have hundreds of classes that they can pick from - this year, I have them in sewing, drama, an art class, a math class, a cooking class and kung fu. It keeps them active and busy in the summer - so much better than sitting around, playing video games all summer!
I've also taken classes for myself through Community Education ("Shiatsu", "Traffic School" and "Belly Dancing") and have had great instructors all three times. It is awesome to have a place to go where I can take classes that I want to take and I don't have to enroll in a college to do it.
I would definitely recommend this department's classes to anyone interested!

I've taken courses @Cerritos College in the 90's when I was an undergraduate & had exellent experiences with the staff. And now, 10 years after my B.S. I've come back for more! The staff is still as helpful & caring as I remember. The college is undergoing some construction now but after that's completed, it'll look & feel like a small university.

Imagine waiting four hours in the blazing sun in the summer just to talk to a counselor who won't answer your questions, and he or she tells you that you are on academic probation when you really aren't. Try learning from teachers who can't speak English clearly.
My head hurts already.

As a community college, Cerritos College's reputation isn't so high, and it is often looked down upon by local high schools. After taking a few courses there, I discovered that the education was only average, and the resources were not, by far, the best. But it is cheap and close to Cerritos residents, so if you are low on college funds, it might be worthwhile to take a few classes here. The teachers seem to be devoted to helping you learn.

I took some GE course at Cerritos College a few years ago when I lived in the area. It is a really good school and offers a wide range of classes. The instructors that I have had were very good and were very willing to help you out after class with anything you are having difficulty with.

Cerritos Community College has a beautiful campus and is located right off the 605 freeway. This college is located in a very nice city. I am a student here and I definitely recommend this school. The only thing I dislike is the parking but other than that I have no problems.
