Cafe Pescatore is an ok place to go if you want to get a decent meal but you want to be tucked away from the bustle of the Wharf or North Beach. For a restaurant in a hotel it rate high but you could walk a few blocks and get far better seafood or italian food. Bottom line, if you work in the area and are looking for something that you can count on stop in. If you are in SF for a limited time then don't waste one of your meals there.

5I travel to San Francisco regularly and always try to include a stop to this place when I stay in the wharf area. It is a great alternative to the glut of "tourist trap" type restaurants in the area. The service is prompt and attentive.

I live in San Francisco, not far from Cafe Pescatore, so I thought I'd try it out for dinner. I ordered the "crab" ravioli expecting it to be Dungeness crab, the SF delicacy. Instead, the undercooked ravioli contained a strange

Pros: nice room
Cons: seafood not local
There are a lot of bad restaurants in or near Fisherman's wharf. This isn't one of them. Cafe Pescatore, attached to the Best Western Fisherman's Wharf, has actually got really good food. It's Italian, and it does it well. It is overpriced, but you have to expect that if you're eating at the Wharf. Not bad at all.

While visiting the waterfront in San Francisco we happened on Cafe Pescatore. Sitting outside on the sidewalk patio we enjoyed awesome, yet casual service. The staff was attentive and ready to answer all our questions. After a

I stumbled on Cafe Pescatore while shopping at Cost Plus, what a find! My friends and I dined outside and sipped wine while munching on the best Calamari ever. We stayed for dinner and the staff was happy to oblige. The Cioppino was spicey

The food was great, but the service was awesome! I would go back just for the service. My favorite was the Ribeye steak, very flavorful and juicy. My date had a tuna special that was the perfect medium rare which it should be. Lots of

Pros: staff, food, desserts
Cons: stronger drinks
The shrimp were overcooked, the manila clams (the little ones)
were overcooked as well and cold. The crab was not precracked.
Yes, there were tools to do the job, but it was a hassle. The bread
was burned; too bad, I would have loved to

Ate here expecting better than average, considering the prices are a bit high and the decor is attractive and inviting. I had a tuna that was average over a bed of deep fried cappilini pasta. The red sauce was nice and I could
