I was hopeful that this could be a nice resource but I don't think I will ever go back. The place was really dirty, and even though they were cleaning they made no effort to accomodate your need to navigate the aisles. The produce was old and wilted. And once I was in line, behind someone with a cartful of items, another person came along and just cut in front of all of us, and the cashiers did nothing, challenging me to be the one to handle the situation. The whole vibe was really rude. Major attitude. I hated it. Did I say the place is dirty?

Bad dairy products often times spoiled and/or unfit for resale. Meat is tough and fish smells. This places has a lot of stuff to buy but a lot of it is more expensive then the local Vons or Ralphs, so whats the deal?

I frequent this place and have always wondered why they have Ralphs, Riteaid and other stores' shopping carts. Are they that cheap that they don't get their own???

This is a cool local market which has a lot of the stuff you need. The thing I didn??t like is that I??ve been there 8 times so far in the past year, for one to two items to my whole shopping list. The thing that ruined it is how the cashiers ??repeated make miscalculations? which benefits the market of course. That is a very dishonest act and sooner or later, I??m sure the proper agency will deal with them with fines.

Nice, small neighborhood market. Great produce selection at very low prices. The meat and fish department is also well stocked, and butchers behind the counter can cut and prep the cuts of meat you need. They have a huge selection of flat bread and lavosh at extremely cheap prices. Friendly, helpful staff.

With all of the worry about Mad Cow Disease and other problems associated with hormone-injected, factory-farmed, unsanitary meat, I've become pretty wary of the grocery-store butcher counter. For a while it seemed that my only choices were to give up beef or shop somewhere insanely expensive. Luckily for me, West LA has a huge Persian community, most of whom keep Kosher. This grocery store serves everyday working- and middle-class people, and its prices reflect that. It's clean and well-organized, and everything (including the meat) has been prepared and stored according to Kosher (Halal) standards. Although I do often wish I spoke/read Persian when I go there, it's totally not necessary.

PROS: Safe meat, clean store
CONS:
