There really is not a lot of street parking. Very busy during lunch since it is close to UCSF & the prices are very good. The food is great. Make sure you order enough because once the lunchtime rush comes, orders may take a while.

Pros: Great Food, Great price. Parking may be hard to find.
Cons: Small restaurant, tend to have no tables available around noon.
Cheaper, faster sushi joint. Definitely not the best in the city but definitely not among the worst. Note that I am probably biased by the fact that my favorite sushi place in the city is right around the corner . . .

Pros: cheapish, conveniently close to UCSF
Cons: average quality food
We love love love this place. Relaxed, cheap, friendly - they even remember which of us likes cold water and which takes hot water with lemon, bringing it to us without asking. Although it doesn't have the artistry of Koo, this is a great find for fast sushi of reliably good quality for any night of the week.

Local joint so unpretentious and casual. Formerly was "We Be Sushi" who's fresh fish was getting really bad BUT You See Sushi (play on UC?) has fixed that. Sushi was fresh and good, as it should be, with just a touch of [SE Asia? Korea?]. Prices are reasonable. There are a few other sushi restaurant places in the neighborhood--Ebisu which ALWAYS has a waiting line and if you call to place and order, they get surly (and won't take your order); Ten which I've never been to but it looks too upscale for the neighborhood; Hotei which has improved over the years. Some others but You See Sushi is overall good for the price.

Pros: Food was good (which is the main point, isn't it?), prices are reasonable
Cons: Crowded at lunchtime so avoid going then, take the bus or Muni Metro (no parking), closes wayyyy too early for me
You gotta love this place. I've been going there for 3 years now, and have never had a bad meal. I LOVE the chicken terriaki, and the sushi is solid and always a good deal. Incredible service, even when they're busy. It's known to the UCSF crowd, so lunch time can be busy. Dollar for dollar, it's the best place in the neighborhood.

Pros: value & service
Cons: few non-sushi options (but the chicken terriaki rocks!)
Not the best ambience ===but japanese owners great sushi and always very friendly. A great place for locals! Check out the specials-- you get soo much sushi for a great price. I'm at you see at least once a week! I'm a sushi snob and this place rocks.

Formerly known as We Be Sushi, You See Sushi has been serving up quality sushi at affordable prices for years. I personally enjoy the sashimi selection and prices - you know how many pieces you're getting and for how much. That way, you can mix and match your sashimi (3 Fresh Sake, 3 Albacore, 3 Hamachi, 3 Amaebi, 3 Maguro, etc.). They also offer a few lunch and dinner specials that are well worth their price. It's a nice relief from the other chaotic sushi restaurants in the city. Here at You See, you can take a seat and relax.

Pros: sashimi choices, simple, inexpensive
Cons: parking on weekends, not for big groups
As I live within walking distance, I've probably been to this You See Sushi around 30 times by now. It's not the most elegant setting, but the sushi is fresh, tasty, and inexpensive. I strongly prefer it to the higher priced Sushi places in the neighborhood. Highly recommended.

Pros: Great Food, Great Price
Listen, I've had cheap sushi before, and it can be disastrous. We Be Sushi is a find. You're not going to find the world's most inventive rolls or fancy ambiance, but who cares? This place serves up fresh sushi at a great price--and the service is great, too. In fact, the owner (I think he's the owner) always tops off our sake, gratis. The guy who wrote the previous review must have been too busy looking for the expensive ambiance to notice.
