This is a fun place to pop into when you're strolling down Melrose and tired of goth attire and vintage t-shirts. They have alot of toys that will remind you of your childhood, as well as a few new fun novelty things. Beware if you take little kids in there, this is a toystore with a lot of small objects with small moving parts within reach.

This place, made famous from the Visa commercials, is a great little getaway from the everyday. It's like walking right into your childhood, with all their great wind-up toys. It's the perfect spot to go for souveniors and novelty fun. There is about anything wind-up you can think of, from robots to music boxes. Check it out and leave with a smile.

The Wound and Wound Toy Company specializes in wind-up toys, ranging from the very cheap (and shoddily made) to vintage (and quite expensive). It's a fun place to look around and to shop for some old-school toys. One of the great things about Wound and Wound is that you can play with most of the merchandise. Most of the toys here don't have much lasting value... they're fun for a minute and then end up on the shelf. But they're novel, and the best ones can make us feel like kids again, if only for a minute.
