I was intrigued by trying Quinoa for the first time there and began cooking it at home. I thought it was interesting that cheese could be made out of nuts, but after I read the Chronicle article, I choose not to go there any more. Plus it is super expensive

Cons: horrible service, good luck getting waited on
Let?s talk about service. I arrived right at noon and the place was already pretty full. There were only two open tables, and eventually a young man indicated I should take one of the two remaining tables. I sat down and waited. And

Pros: Tasty vegan food
Cons: Horrible service, not good value
I recently met some friends here for lunch. My boyfriend and I are both lifelong vegetarians and have our fair share of bad vegetarian food. Cafe Gratitude takes the prize. The customer service was horrible. I am a former server myself

Pros: Great Ginger-Ale
Cons: Service, Service, Service! Food was far from wonderful.
This a wonderful place to eat for anyone interested in healthy food, but especially for anyone who has any dietary-health restrictions like me! The service was friendly and helpful. After reading the other reviews, I was expecting a long

The owners of Cafe Gratitude need to improve customer service. I have gotten take out from the Harrison Street location numerous times... and each time I have to wait and wait and wait. I pre-order by phone so I don't have to wait and

Pros: Food good
Cons: Service the worst
The tasty vegan food at Cafe Gratitude is hard to beat - wonderful flavors made with fresh, organic ingredients, beautifully presented. The problem comes in getting the food to the table. On repeated visits over the past three or four

Cons: Service is the worst I have ever experienced in any restaurant anywhere in the world.
Food was good and unique. service was bad and unique. they forgot to process the order so we sat for 30-45mns with our tea and beer (beer was awesome) before someone said "wait were you getting food?" and it wasnt even our server whom

Last year I decided do to my first fast which required that I eat nothing but Vegan food for most if not all of my meals. This lasted for a month. I went on this 4-week program relying on "Healthforce" nutritional products for both

Cons: Service
A wonderful spot. I go there about twice a month and I'm not a mission hipster, not an artist and don't work for a non-profit. I bathe daily and I absolutely love this place. I feel healthy and satisfied everytime I leave. The desserts

Cons: service is strange and spacey
So their whole philosophy about being present and 'grateful' is fine and good, but the service sure needs some help. The servers wander around the restaurant looking confused, food is left sitting (I know, it's not like it gets cold) for a

Pros: Great smoothies and juices, pretty easy parking
Cons: Bad service, overpriced
Loved everything on my plate. Not sure the sangria was "live." I need their flaxseed cracker recipe. Asked for more and the cashew cheese was wonderful. Great service, nice atmosphere, relaxing.

Do not bring your uncle that loves steak houses to this raw/organic cafe.
If you play along with the theme it can be fun but if not you will get quickly get annoyed.
I live 6 blocks from this place and tried it for the first time last weekend. We Loved it! Both me and my husband are meat eaters and still thoroughly enjoyed the fare. When finished you were full, but not that gross overstuffed full.

I went to this restaurant a few days ago and must admit that I was skeptical at first because I've never had vegan food. Not only is this a vegan restaurant... Its a RAW vegan restaurant!! Despite knowing all this, I decided to go because my friend recommended it.
The restaurant had a very "nature" feel to it with plenty of outdoor seating with plenty of plants to add to the ambiance. The menu was also, for a lack of better words, unique. It had items named "I Am Gracious" and "I Am Precious". Don't worry, there were descriptions.
Despite the weird naming scheme, the food was excellent. I had a Hawaiian pizza which didn't really taste like a pizza (not surprisingly) but was really good. All the ingredients were fresh and both of our dishes were very flavorful. I'm not exaggerating when I say that every bite was a taste explosion.
PROS: Good service, great tasting food and I think its healthy
CONS: Obvious... They don't serve meat!!
