I stumbled upon Benefit one day and found out they wax and shape eyebrows---now I won't go anywhere else! They do an incredible job and it is just eighteen dollars!
5This little buisness here specializes in all kinds of beauty and cosmetic-related things. They tell you about all the great deals they have on their products, and which color or shade they think looks best on you. I think they give the customer their honest opinion and I would definately recommend this, even if the items are a little pricey, Benefit Cosmetics has some quality stuff.

Okay, so if you have been into Macy's, I am sure you have seen their little stand. They have seperate little shops and salons as well, which is what this is. They will makeover your face, to make makeup look more subtle, and tell you what looks good for your skin tone. They are pretty nice people, and their eyebrow waxes are great! But, just to show they don't even like their own line of cosmetics, I once caught a girl who worked there applying MAC eyeliner ON THE JOB! It was pretty funny, but nonetheless, Benefit is a nice place for a new makeup lesson.

Benefit is a trendy shop located on Berkeley's toney 4th Street. True to form, it delivers good skin care at reasonable (to slightly high) prices. An eyebrow wax will cost you around $18 plus tip. The women working here are fun and stylish, with a fifties edge and a few tattoos, and they treat customers very well. Only one complaint--the company does not offer products for skin tones outside the typical range for Caucasians.

Although I wouldn't normally volunteer information, the Benefit salon on 4th Street has a reputation for their eyebrows work. I've only been there once or twice, but they are very good at the "au naturel" look, which is important if you don't want your eyebrows to look artificial (waxen doll) or weirdly shaped (er, earthworm or diamond points?). It seems many of these eyebrow pluckers like to be geometrical, but Benefit people really get the picture.
The only thing that's weird is that the salon is set up with a full-length glass pane storefront, so if it's the middle of the afternoon on a weekend, and often they seat you quite close to the window, you can feel like something of a spectacle.
