Clearmans North Woods Inn La Mirada

Easy access from the 5 freeway this snow covered building with peanut shelled covered floor is an amazing experience. The portions are huge and the prices are reasonable. Service is always friendly and it has a nice bar. I think the cheese bread and the one pound baked potatoes are every bit as good as the steaks and seafood. Highly recommended it but come hungry or you will taking home a doggy bag.

Resonable price for good food. The atmosphere might throw you a little because its a funky place with fake snow on the roof and you can throw your peanut shells on the floor. The Cobb salad is excellent and the service always dependable.

This restaurant is right by the 5 freeway, and I've probably driven by this faux-snow covered log cabin a thousand times before deciding to try it. The food is decent and the portions are huge. They do mostly steak and seafood. The decor is quite interesting, kind of cabin/lodge-like, with stained-glass windows. The staff is friendly. I found it quite casual, especially since they want you to throw peanut shells on the ground.

I love this place. Every time I have eaten here, the food and service have both been great. They have fantastic steaks, which in my experience have been cooked perfectly every time. I almost always order a NY Strip, and they are very good. They also offer things like seafood, chicken, and chops if you don't want a steak. It is kid of upscale-casual if you can understand that. You don't have to wear a jacket and tie, but I don't wear jeans and a t-shirt here, either. Prices are moderate.
