Love the No Meat Treat (veggie pizza) here! Cicero's is a no frills spot to enjoy a great thin-crust pizza, down a cold one and enjoy a game on TV. Great for families with little kids as they have a arcade games and a small section that you can keep the kiddos within. Enjoy!

Thin Crust Veggie Pizza rules My son and I dig this Pizza. The hot and spicy Veggie pizza is our favorite. The place is buzzing on Friday and Saturday evenings and you may want to order your pizza over phone about 20 mins in advance before you drive there.

This place has been open forever (but with a different location). Really good thin crust but I do think that Pizza My Heart is better. This place is better for big groups though.

I always go here with large parties. The restaurant has a great environment for social events. The pizza is delicious and not badly priced.
There is an arcade to play in after eating too.

I absolutely LOVE this pizza! It is a flake-y, buttery taste of heaven that having anymore than the traditional cheese pizza would ruin the whole Cicero's experience! This place really does have the secret! As busy as it gets, the facility is always clean and the service is very good. It is large enough to hold many groups, and is a great place for children. Most importantly, It is run by family, and for that I am proud to support and provide my business to. I hope that they keep the family tradition moving strong for a very long time. Plus, it would be great to see them expand to another city. They should have taken the #1 slot for 'best of' ...HANDS DOWN!!!
Pros: Great Food, Clean, Affordable
Cons: None
Based on all the great reviews here, we tried it for lunch one day. A couple different medium combos. We found the crust ok, but the flavor just wasn't there. The toppings are little crumbs of meat products lightly scattered on top and not enough cheese. We found it dry and bland. It most resembles Baron pizza that we find in the freezer at our local Safeway. Sorry, but if you think this is great stuff, you need to get out more.
Pros: easy strip mall parking
Cons: Better pizza next door in the grocery store's frozen section
The pizza isn't fantastic, but it beats going to a large number of places in the Bay Area. Be prepared for extra grease though...
Amazing thin crust pizza. my roommate carol introduced me to this place when i moved out here. I'm from the east coast and had been complaining that CA suxs for pizza and bagels.... i'm right... but Cicero is the best CA has to offer and I have no complaints when i eat their belly buster.... ooo its good!
I have been eating and loving Cicero's pizza for over 20 years. I now drive about 60 miles at least once a month just to eat Cicero's pizza. MY insider's secret to you is: order it with extra sauce. That's what makes it so good. That, and the crust. And the toppings. Be warned: this is no fluffy-crust cheap-topping-overload pizza. This is pizza crafted to perfection. I can't wait to get my next fix!
Pros: Atmosphere, Friendly staff, Pizza perfection
Cons: Only one location, Not open 24 hrs a day
I heard of this pizza place through a friend and was instantly a fan. Its the best pizza I have ever had in my life!! Every person I have told has said the same thing after trying it.
Pros: Great Taste, Thin Crust
Cons: A Little expensive
I have only lived in the Bay Area for 6 years and have just now discovered Cicero's.
It was EXACTLY what I've been looking for. I was so tired of all these pizza chains. Now I've found my new pizza place forever! I simply can't get enough of that buttery thin crispy crust and that cheese and secret sauce! Wow!
I'm so surprised that there are actually people out there dissing Cicero's! I am taking it personal.
Pros: the best pizza EVER, that sauce, that crust
Wow! that the exact word I said when I gulped my first bite. Love the pizzas, the crust is perfect and all together it melts in your mouth! Two Thumbs up for this cozy place.
Pros: Pizzas, Fast
Cons: Restrooms
Cicero's is by far the greatest pizza place considering pizza is my favorite food. There's no other pizza that tastes quite like theirs. If you haven't tried it out, i recommend trying it out. Especially if you like pizza. Even if you dont trust me, just try it out once and see for yourself. if you dont like it then dont go again. but i'm pretty sure you're going to go again :)
Pros: tastes great, friendly atmosphere, one of a kind
It's worth the drive no matter how far...great pizza...amazing crust...nice people!
There's nothing quite like a Cicero's pie. Especially if you like thin crispy flaky crust. They bake it with a special technique that has never been duplicated. The sauce is just the perfect balance of slightly sweet garlic and real italian flavors. I recommend you get 2 smalls or mediums instead of one large because the crust really works on those sizes. Try a medium hamburger and onion pie and you'll see what I mean. This place has quite a following due the incredible one of a kind taste and the great people who run it!
Pros: The best pizza, fair prices, Great staff
Cons: need more locations, sometimes its packed
If you like thin-crust pizza's this is the best place to go. I know some friends who only like thick-crust pizzas, if you are like them i wouldn't recomend cicero's. However, it is the best pizza I have ever eaten, the crust is delicious, and the toppings are superb. I recommend the Cicero's Special. It also has an arcade with a window so that parents can keep an eye on their kids w/o being disturbed by noise from the arcade.
Pros: great taste, visible arcade, relatively cheap
Cons: , Negtorita, nothing
Cicero's has been a family favorite since my husband and I started going to their original location 30+ years ago when we were in high school. Although our family moved away from the bay area 10 years ago, we never pass up a chance to go to Cicero's when we are in town. Every time we have other pizza we find ourselves comparing it to Cicero's and it never measures up. Nothing better than a Cicero's linguica, mushroom, and olive pizza!
Pros: great crust, secret sauce, friendly staff
Cons: not one in So. CA
For those of you comparing Cicero's New York style to the Chicago style's from other parlors, you may as well compare apples to oranges! The paper thin crust and wonderful home-made sauce are what give this pizza it's wonderful flavor. With a light and wonderfully flavorful crust and the perfect blend of mozzerella cheese, sauce, and fresh toppings, this is the kind of pizza you eat ALL of. If you are looking for a thick, cookie cutter cheese bomb of a pizza, go to Pizza Hut or Round Table. This is a perfect example of pizza as you would get by the slice in New York. Ready in 20 minutes and God bless you Nunzio!
Pros: Fast, friendly service, VERY reasonable price, pizza with a SECRET!
Cons: Nunzio is gone :^(
My family hits Cicero's whenever we can, even if it means a long drive - we all like the atmosphere and the pizza is fresh, straight forward and delicious. Some pizza places seem old, dark, heavy - Cicero's is light and comfortable. The atmosphere is family oriented while still 'cool', and definitely diverse in age, income, race and other demographics, which is a real plus. Well run and sincerely friendly, interesting people working there.
When can they open up more of these!
Pros: sauce, crust, service
There is no comparison between Ciceros pizza and anyone else. Pizza My Heart is a chain with terrible pizza and no customer service. Ciceros constantly delivers quality and superb customer service in a family environment. The pizza tastes exactly the same everytime I stop by for the best pizza in the country.
Pros: Fresh ingredients, Customer service, Price
Cons: Location too small
Since my family moved to cupertino, there has been only one place we order pizza from, and that is Ciceros. I am in love with the sauce and the perfect crunchy crust. They seem to make the pizza just how i love it! Every time they have moved locations, our family has followed. The prices are worth the quality, unlike many of the other pizza places i have eaten at. Everytime we go in to order the service is great and they treat everyone as if they were family. I dont care what other people say, Ciceros is the greatest pizza and if you are looking for good food, service, and a nice place to sit and eat, Ciceros is the place for you.
Pros: great service, variety of toppings, great place to eat
Cons: only one location
Hands down, Ciceros is the best tasting pizza that I have ever had. For thin crust lovers, Cicero's is a slice of heaven. Nowhere, not even pizza in New York compares!
Pros: Best tasting pizza US, inexpensive, friendly
Cons: none
I was looking forward to trying Cicero's after reading all the stellar reviews on this website, but I was definitely disappointed. There wasn't much flavor, many toppings or very much cheese - things that a good pizza needs. Although the crust is good, it's not anything over a 5 on the scale. I would suggest going down Wolfe to JT McCart's.
Pros: Crust
Cons: Rest of Pizza
What can I say, this is the best pizza ever. It is the only pizza place where I will eat the crust. Every pie is cooked to perfection and has a taste like no other pizza I have ever eaten. I highly recommend this restaurant.
Obviously, those of you who have rated this restaurant higher than a 5 have not had good pizza. For the $10 I spent on a 1 topping pizza, I could have bought 2 frozen pizzas and a 6-pack of beer.
Pros: Cheap Beer
Cons: Frozen-pizza quality, Self-service
I had the belly buster, you got to be kidding. The topping porportions are so small, they are hard to identify. Try BJ's Chicago, now there's a pizza
Pros: service
Cons: need larger toppings
Went to Cicero's after reading high rating on MSN. I'd have to disagree. Interesting pizza yes, with sweet sauce, but not the best in San Jose. For my money, I'd drive a little west to Jake's Pizza on De Anza Boulevard.
While Cicero's unique thin crust pizzas are very tasty, their fame comes more from their colorful history. Cicero's Pizza is as much a part of Silicon Valley's history as its nearby neighbors Apple Computers, Tandem Computers, Hewlett Packard and others. Several companies were formed and a lot of great products were designed over Cicero's pizza and pitchers of Budweiser. Sadly Nunzio is gone now but his family carries on the tradition in a new and much nicer location.
We went as a group of 10 people to Cicero's. The people are very friendly and the service was quick too. The pizzas were well baked and the crust was thin and crisp.
We had the vegetarian which tasted delicious - the toppings were just perfect. The meatless was a little bland.
Pros: Good Pizza, Good for groups, Simple Menu
The key ambiance at Cicero's is that pepper is kept in baby food bottles with holes punched in the lid to make them into pepper shakers! This is a trademark that I have associated with tasty pizza at Ciceros for 12 years!!
The Bay Area is back to being Bay Area now that they are back!!
Pros: very tasty, great value, good overall
I grew up in San Jose, CA. My grandparents had a cleaners acroos the street from Cicero's. My mom used to work at the cleaners and when she would get off, we would run to Cicero's for pizza. I live in Nevada now, (all grown up) and still crave Cicero's pizza. I was heart broken when my grandparents told me they closed. I'm so excited to see that they are back up and running. I can't wait to take a trip back to my old stomping grounds for the best pizza ever.
I've been coming here for over 15 yrs!
CICERO's IS THE BEST PIZZA!!
The best pizza period!!! Nothing beats it, nothing at all
Best thin/crispy crust I ever had. quick and friendly service
CICERO'S MAKES PIZZA THE WAY IT'S SUPPOSED TO BE MADE, THEY HAVE BEEN SERVING THE SILICON VALLEY FOR 34 YEARS, PEOPLE WHO HAVE DIDNED THERE OVER THOSE YEARS ARE MORE LIKE FAMILY THAN CUSTOMERS. BOB LAVERDI YOU ARE MY HERO! EVEN THOUGH YOU & YOUR BUDDIES WOULD THROW A BEACHBALL AT MY HEAD WHEN I WAS A BABY JUST TO SEE WHICH ONE OF YOU GUYS WOULD BOWL 1ST. ANYWAY I FEEL LIKE TAKING A BIG BITE OUT OF "big apple" (pizza) & SPITTING IT RIGHT BACK IN THEY'RE FRICKIN' FACES!
Cicero's Pizza is the best ever. No wasted-unwanted crust. No gucci toppings - Just plain old basic GOOD TASTING pizza. The way it's supposed to be.
Pros: Great Food, Excellent Service, Friendly Atmosphere
I had to try this place after reading the great reviews it received on here. I was left very disappointed. I ordered my 2 large pizzas at 3 pm for a 6:45 pick up. They were not ready when I arrived. The pizzas were okay, but nothing to rave about. The really thin crusts don't do well when you heat them up the next day. The staff was very friendly. If you go I'd recommend you call ahead. The place was packed and they were telling people 45 min wait for their pizzas.
Once you've had Cicero's pizza, you'll never dine on any other. The crust is to die for, toppings are beyond words. If they served pizza in heaven: Cicero's would be it.
THE ABSOLUTE BEST
Pros: yummy pizza, friendly people, no problem parking
Cicero Pizza cannot be compared to pizza's that are made by big chain formula (Round Table, Little Ceasar's, etc.). It would be like compairing Coc au Vin to KFC -theirs is a unique dish. With their thin, fresh rolled dough, it is placed in a pan that has been coated in olive oil. The 'Secret Sauce' is added, with it's undertone of sweetness, is a delight to the palate. The cheeses and other toppings are added, then placed in the oven - and this is where one of the MAJOR differences is - it is basically fried in the pan as it cooks. When it comes out the crust has a crispness to it that is quite unique. I have never been to a pizzaria that has this tradition. The end result is a GREAT tasting pizza! We have eaten at Cicero's since 1968 and will continue to do so!
Pros: friendly staff, nice environment, like family
Cons: not in Cupertino :(, crowded at peak hours, they need an XL pizza
Cicero's has excellent thin crust pizza!! I eat there about twice a week.
Cicero's has the best thin crust pizza in the bay area. You go there and the employees know your name, because if your in there most likely you have been going there for years. They are very nice people and definintly know how to make a pie. If you get a referral to go to Cicero's, go because the person who told you about it know's good Pizza pie!!!!!
We love Ciceros and Bob Laverdie for bringing it back and keeping Ciceros alive. Thanks Bob
Cicero's is simply the best pizza on this side of the Mississippi. Nothing in this area comes even close to the quality you
This is the BEST pizza I've ever had! It is the "pizza with the secret". I think the secret is they have some sort of addictive agent in it! I just can't get enough!!!! Well- I'm off to Papa Cicero's!
THANK GOD they are back in business!!! The shakes were getting pretty bad!
Pros: awesome food, friendly people, very inexpensive
Cons: can't, think, of any
After 20 years of Cicero's pizza enjoyment, I'm happy to say the pizza hasn't changed a bit; it's still just as full flavored, and wonderful as ever. Their unique style of an oiled pan, thin crust, and superb sauce, makes basic cheese or the everything goes Cicero's special something I can't find anywhere else. Their thin tasty crust makes the pizza rather light, and doesn't fill you up like the bread heavy versions so common in the chains. The closest Ive ever come to Ciceros was in the countryside in Italy, but now I only have to travel a few miles! I can do Cicero's every week, and recommend it as one of the most unique pizza's I've ever found.
Pros: unique taste, light but full flavor, wholesome place
Cons: only one location
Cicero's is open again! The address listed in citysearch is now correct. They were closed for about a year, but now they're back and its the same owners, same great pizza! Welcome back Cicero's!
Same great pizza in a setting slightly bigger and much cleaner than the old place. The only place to go if you want authentic OLD Chicago / New York style thin and crispy crust pizza. Come here if you eat pizza for the sauce, cheese, and other toppings -- go somewhere else if you're looking to eat mostly bread. Amici's comes close to Cicero's, but their crust is too burnt and chewy to get my top rating, their offered toppings are too yuppified, aqnd their prices are somewhat higher.
It just doesnt get any better. Great Pizza, Great Staff and its so much nicer to eat at a family run pizza place rather than the big chains. My advice, order a really big pizza so you have some to take home and eat the next day! Yes... its that good.
Pros: Pleanty of seats, plenty of parking
Cons: hard to find but, next to Safeway
