I've had the joy of traveling a lot this last year between home, (New Orleans) and Denver.

Because of family reasons, I'm popping in and out all the time now, and loving your city.

One of the things I love most is visiting Amalie and getting a really great cut and beautiful color. I don't have great hair - I know it's a challenge for her. But I always look great when I walk out of the salon - and I'm able to maintain it until it grows out and needs more attention.

I wish I could visit every month or so.... :)

I am SHOCKED at this bad review of Amalie. I have just started getting my hair cut with her and I have never looked better! I was scared to go short because I have had long hair all of my life, but my hair looks amazing and it is all thanks to her!! This woman who thinks she had a bad cut must not be ready for a youthful fun hairstyle. She sounds like a person not ready to give up her stringy cotton candy blond wisps. If you want to look fresh, youthful and funky go to Amalie!!!!

I have been going to Amalie for about 3 1/2 years now and I have never been happier. I hated getting my hair cut before I found her because I was always disappointed with the cut. I would go into a salon with a picture and it never looked even close when I wanted, not to mention no one would tell me how to achieve the style the next day. I figured I just had hard to manage hair, so I stopped getting it cut and let it grow into a long hippie style ( I thought it looked good). Amalie at Laurent Salon has cut my hair four times, and only once was I happy with the result. Even then it was shockingly shorter than I had asked for, but at least it looked decent. Despite bringing in photographs of what I had in mind every time I've gone to her, and despite being very clear that I didn't want to look like a soccer mom and using words like 'creative,' 'artistic,' 'stylish,' and 'funky' to describe the look I was going for, she has given me age-inappropriate soccer-mom haircuts 3 out of 4 times. I trusted her to cut my hair that many times because she said that you really have to give a stylist 3 chances to get it right. I will not go back to her anymore because she didn't listen well to what I was saying, and I don't think she's a good judge of whether a haircut is flattering -- 3 of the 4 she's given me have been unflattering and nothing like I had asked for and discussed with her -- bad enough that I've spent hours crying hard about how embarrassing my hair looks. Officially, she has only cut my hair twice, but two times have been a re-do for free because I wasn't pleased with the cut -- that is something really great about her -- at least she is willing to try and fix it for free. But only one of the re-do's was successful: the latest cut she gave me was a horrible paige-boy type cut (which I definitely didn't want) even after two tries, which is why I'm never going back. Although I thought she was nice, I have had to conclude that she is a bad hairstylist. If you are fine with a conservative haircut that Amalie chooses, not you, for about $45, from a stylist who has a likable personality, then give her a try -- but I would suggest only if you're in your 40's or 50's.

I have been going to Amalie for a few years now and from day one she was always willing to work with what I wanted and give me suggestions that I never would have thought to ask for. I started out only getting hair cuts because I am very particular about my hairstylist; then when I realized how great my hair looked every time I left the salon, I came to the epiphany that it would be worth getting my color done by her as well. Her work is always fantastic and at a very reasonable price.

Maria is great. I went to her for a dramatic change in color and cut and she did a wonderful, unhurried, and precise job. She is a very pleasant person and takes plenty of time to consult on the haircut and color beforehand. She also checks in throughout the process to make sure everything is looking the way you envisioned it. Maria gave me excellent ideas on styling my new cut and caring for my hair in the arid Colorado climate. I recommend her highly.

It is hard finding a reliable and trustworthy hairdresser when you are new to an area. After a few trial and errors I was able to find my match with Amber. She understood what I wanted out of my highlights and I left feeling refreshed and highly satisfied with my hair. She does a wonderful job :)

I love going to Laurent Salon to see Maria Landeros. She is the best stylist i have ever had. She takes her time to talk with you and go over options. I love the fact that she really wants you to be happy with what we decide together. She never pushes anything on me and gives me great helpful daily ideas to keep my hair healthy and looking great. I recently had my hair cut and colored by Maria. She was great! She really took her time helping me choose a color that would compliment my complexion. She offered her opinion on the cut and color but let me make the final decision. She also had a lot of helpful hints for doing my hair at home. She was great. I would definitely recommend her to anyone looking for a new stylist!

I have been looking for a regular stylist for some time, with no luck, then I met Amber. She is so easy to talk to and did an amazing job on my hair. The color was perfect and the cut was exactly what I was looking for. She gave me tips on styling at home (and they worked). And she also does waxing, I have finaly found the one.

I am new to the area and used Citysearch to find a new salon in Lakewood. I saw that Laurent had many good reviews and decided to call, I spoke with Amber and got an appt. She nailed the perfect color for me, doesn't make me wait, is very efficient and does a great cut and takes the time to make sure it's done right. I'm so happy I found Amber!

After getting a very bad haircut, I was looking for help and found Maria. I had the best consultation I have ever had. She did not seem to be in a hurry and rush me through. The color is wonderful and I have had so many compliments. She has begun to correct the cut and time will help. She is terrific.

I am a 37 year-old female. After loosing more than 70% of my hair almost 20 years ago, AMALIE HUE, hair stylist at Laurent Salon, had the vission to cut my hair into a style that gave me back the confidence I lost. For the past 20 years, I have worn hats and avoided pools or social situations which would require me to show people my hair. Amalie cut my hair into a short and sassy hair stlye. I cannot count the number of compliments I have received over the past 8 months and I rarely ware hats. As a woman, hair is so important to self-esteam. Amalie helped me feel good again, which is noting short of a miracle for me!!!

I've been going to Gail for a few years now. She is always right on with my needs and is so pleasant. She was formely trained in England with a "new world" way of styling and it shows. Every time I've seen her, she makes me feel right at home. She is attentive and professional. I wouldn't trust anyone else but her to do my hair! She's the best, colors and style! I highly suggest people look her up and Salon Laurent, it has a country side look and feel, right at home!

I was Gail's first US client and I wouldn't dream of letting anyone else touch my hair. Short or long, which ever style suits my fancy at the time, Gail always does a wonderful job of cutting my hair so that it's easy, manageable and looks fantastic. I have wavy hair and she cuts so I can wear my style straightened or natural.

HANDS DOWN she's the best colorist I've ever seen for my highlights. They're always perfect and just the right amount for the seasons.

If you're looking for a new stylist or just want a change of pace, you won't be let down here. Gail listens to what you want and offers professional and contemporary advice that suits your wants and lifestyle.

I even had her give my son his first haircut because I knew he was in great hands. He looked adorable afterward. I'll be taking my daughter there as well. Oh, and when Gail cuts my husband's hair he doesn't have the same "Barber Shop" cut all the other guys have and looks fantastic. The whole family looks great in Gail's care.

I CAME TO COLORADO 6MTHS AGO AND HAVE HAD THE WORST LUCK IN FINDING A GOOD STYLIST! I HAVE HAD 3 BAD CUT AND COLORS AND WAS ABOUT TO GIVE UP! I have been going to Laurent Salon for about six months now based on a referral from a good friend of mine. Maria has done a wonderful job on my hair from the color to the cut. She is always interested in what I want and never pushes me into something that I am uncomfortable with. The flip side of this is she is also full of ideas and suggestions for those times that I do not know what I want. Within my first visit there it became very obvious that Maria truly was very knowledgeable and interested in not just doing a good job but a great one!

Amalie is the only hairstylist I will go to for a haircut. I hate going to a salon because you usually have to wait, it is so girly and pretentious, and expensive! I never have to worry about those things with Amalie. She does such a great job and is affordable and I can always get in for an appointment. My hair looks great and as it grows out it still keeps a nice shape so I don't have to come in every few weeks. I recommend her to any guy who just wants to look good.

I have been seeing Amalie for a few years now. She is amazing! Her unique cuts and innovative color give me the most amazing hair I could ask for. Now that I know how good my hair can look, I will never go to anyone else!!! Try her out! You won't be disappointed!

I followed Gail from another salon down south and I live in Castle Pines. I would follow her any where.... She listens to me and gives her in put , I have never been happier with my hair. Even my husband has said he loves my hair when Gail has done it, he has never commented on my hair before and we have been together for 8 years, who would have guessed?

Maria cut and colored my hair for the first time and did an amazing job! She was able to frame my face with both the cut and color. I am so thankful to find someone who is great and doesnt break the bank.

I love going to this salon. I am treated with respect and I am able to get to know my stylist personally. This is the first place in years that I have continued to return to. My Stylist has color corrected my hair when many other salons have aggravated the problem. She has been able to help me grow out a very short hair cut in a very short amount of time. I have had many other stylist try to help me grow out my hair but they have kept me at a medium length with no style at all. Leaving me very disappointed. Not here at Laurent Salon. They offer a great experience and great styles. If you are new to the area give this spot a try. I guarantee you will be coming back for more.

I moved here about a year ago from California, and searched for a hair stylist. My first attempt was not so great! I left with a bad color that fried my length off...lol...not so funny at the time though !! I asked one of my co-workers where to go to get it fixed. She suggested Maria (her stylist of 16 yrs). I couldn't of been more happy when I left ! She explained how she uses ammonia free products that would be delicate on my hair and if I couldn't stand my hair being so short (due to the bad color)she could even do hair extensions !! After schooling me on how to keep my hair healthy and growing she did her magic!! I felt like the girls on the makeover shows, almost crying happy tears after seeing what she had done! I couldnt be more pleased with what she has done for me since. Plus, it didn't hurt my pocket...she's Very reasonable!! So for all of you looking for a New Stylist...call Maria the Hair Angel.. you won't be dissapointed !!

I have to say, I have been to almost every salon in Denver (downtown, Cherry Creek, etc), looking for the perfect one! I finally found it! Jozef at Laurent is fantastic. There is no doubt he knows hair! My hair had been bleached out until it had absolutely no depth, looked totally frazzled and washed me out. Jozef put in 3 different colors of highlights / lowlights and I have already gotten so many compliments on my hair its crazy! His cut is also fantastic. I haven't loved my hair this much in years!!!

Great little salon! If you are going to Laurent Salon for the first time, be sure to ask for the owner, Jozef, he is absolutely wonderful; we are so lucky to have found him!! He is fantastic and really knows hair, and women for that matter. When I first came in I was nervous due to several bad experiences with other salons but right away he was carefully, considerately asking what I liked and didn't like and then gently offering his suggestions while still allowing me the final say. I used to go to a place who said they were color experts, thier name was even Colors. I found I was needing to get my highlights redone every 3-5 weeks or live with roots for weeks. Back then I often had roots when leaving the salon. That salon told me I just had extremely fast-growing hair. They also told me my hair just wouldn't do what I wanted it to do with a cut, it was always doing something different. Then we found Jozef. With Jozef's cuts my hair does exactly what I want it to do, every time! And now, with Jozef as my stylist, I only need to go every 8 weeks and the roots don't show at all even then, they actually look almost non-existent, my hair just looks a little darker. My husband who always uses whatever stylist I do, had the same kind of problems at the other salons we went to, no one could get his cut right, (he has super short curly hair that needs the right cut) he was always unhappy when we left. NOT ANYMORE! Jozef also cuts his hair PERFECT EVERY SINGLE TIME! He's now a super-hottie! We even sent my Mom to Jozef who also really liked him & she too moved to super-hottie status. Jozef also has a great personality, always joking, but still very sweet. He is worth the short drive to Lakewood if you want the best! The salon is very clean, luxurious and quiet and the staff seems very professional, never gossipy or pretentious. If for some reason you just can't get Jozef, try Amber, we met her and she seemed really sweet as well! Laurent is a Great Salon!

After years of unsatisfactory haircuts I was referred by a friend to go see Amber while she was still in cosmetology school. I was AMAZED when I actually walked out with the haircut I wanted!! When she left school I refused to let her slip from my fingers so she cut my hair in her Kitchen at home. Then she found Laurent Salan and Spa. The atmosphere there is so relaxing and is the perfect treat for yourself. I continue to see Amber and she is the only one I will ever let touch my hair again. I will follow her until her fingers shrival up and fall off!!

The new stylist, Amber Johnson, is amazing. As a licsensed cosmotologist, she offers not only fabulous haircuts, but a wide range of spa services. I found Amber to be professional and friendly and will be returning to the salon for her expert care.

Being a newcomer to Denver, I found Maria on CitySearch a couple of years ago. I'm glad I did. She is an artist. She has given me several great cuts and colors. I started with long layered hair and she did such a good job cutting my long layers, I trusted her to cut my hair into a shorter style. She did a beautiful job. I received several compliments on it and my husband even liked it! If you have haircut phobia, try her out. You won't be disappointed.

Maria is wonderful! I came to her about 1 year ago after trying a few different salons looking for a regular stylist when I moved to Denver. Everytime I have gone in, I am always pleased with my cut and (especially) color. She's very good at teasing out exactly what you want, giving constructive feedback about how a style/color might look better on you and how color will react with your hair. She also did my hair and 5 bridesmaids hair for my wedding this year. She was on time, quick with all our updos, fun to work with affordable. I loved it and our updos are always one of the first things that family and friends comment on when they see pictures!.

Jozef is a magician. I walked into the hair salon for the 1st time last Friday, with the desire to leave a satisfied customer. I left as an ecstatic customer who will become a "regular". I wish Jozef took before
and after pictures. He cut off about 4 inches of hair and gave me the most amazing color. Jozef cut 10 years off :) He asked what I wanted my hair & color to look like. He far exceeded my expectations. Family and friends could not believe in the transformation. They all love it as much as I do. My cut is incredible. Looks sleek, healthy and so easy to take care of. I put my trust in Jozef and he delivered. If you are looking for a creative, professional and fun hair expert, look no further - Jozef is the one. I will recommend him to all my friends and family.

Laurent is cozy, relaxing, and friendly. My stylist, Maria, listened to my preferences, studied my hair, and gave constructive suggestions. I couldn't be more pleased with the final result! The color is beautiful and the style is current , lifestyle and age appropriate. This was my first visit, to Laurent, which I found using Citysearch; and before I left, I scheduled my next one!

I have been to so many hair salons searching for a good hair dresser and finally found one! I went to Laurent Salon and saw Maria. I told Maria that I didn?t like the ?bla? look that I had, and wanted something different. I also told her that I needed something would not take to much time in the morning to style. Maria said ?no problem.? She took a few minutes to look at me with my hair up, hair down, and asked me a few questions about my hair. Then she put a couple of hair swatches up to my face. In no time Maria had my hair cut, colored and styled. I couldn?t have asked for a better cut, color, or style! I was so excited to go and show off my new hair! My family and friends say my new hairstyle makes me glow and look younger. I get compliments about my hair on a daily basis. Maria took the time to listen and create a hair style that fit my lifestyle and personality! Maria is an exceptional hair dresser!!!!!!

I went to Laurent Salon for the first time and I have to say that Jozef is a fabulous hair dresser! He really took the time to figure out my hair, the kinks and quirks of it, and what would work best for my hair type and my face shape. The result ... quite possibly the best haircut I have ever had! Typically it takes me almost a week to get used to a new haircut, but this time I loved it from day one. I will most definitely be back to see Jozef!

I've been getting my hair cut with Jozef for over a decade and have not had a single cut that i didn't love! Josef IS the best in my opinion, and thankfully he is here in Lakewood, Co and not NY or CA (he could easily charge $200 in those places- heck, i'd put him up against any of the over-priced stylists in Denver!)
I never have to worry about whether or not my hair will be cut as i like it, Jozef is in tune with current fashions, but most importantly he is in tune with MY head of hair and seems to somehow know what i want better than i do! No apprehension here, that's why i make the drive from Highlands Ranch to Lakewood once a month- BEST OF THE BEST. -James Mc.

I have lived in Denver for almost two years now. It took me about 1.5 years to finally find a great stylist. Maria listens to me and recommends what she thinks would work best. She concentrates and is very patient (if I'm not sure I like something). Maria is an angel. She's super sweet, very pretty, and very conscientious of time. She does great cuts and great colors. As long as she's cutting hair, I'll be going to her.

I've been a customer of Maria Landeros for 2+ years and I am so pleased with the outcome of my highlights/ low lights & hair cuts that I keep going back for more about every 3 months or so. Maria is extremely professional and very talented. She understands the art and science of her business and she's educated me about how to maintain healthy hair while explaining how conditioners and color actually work from a scientific aspect. Maria is also very accommodating when it comes to scheduling appointments. Laurent Salon has a relaxing, inviting feel about it and the ambiance is very soothing. I've also been impressed that the most up to date products available are offered at their location. (Tri & Phyto Organics just to name a few.) Try them once and you won't want to go any where else!

i been to laurent salon with maria and have followed her for15 years. i have very long thick hair and many hairstylist have a hard time working with my hair, but maria told me how to style and care for my hair. maria also has helped my decide a new hair style and color that compliments my skin tone and life style.

I have been a REGULAR at Laurent Salon since it started and I love it! Jozef is a fantastic stylist and all the staff members are friendly and accomodating. I recently took advantage of the Spa and Roman has the hands to die for!!! The massage was one of the BEST I have ever had and I feel so much better. If you are looking for a stylist or massage therapist Laurent Salon is for you!

Well, it's hard for a guy to find a decent haircut. Believe me. Especially if you want a cut that is actually stylish, and relatively easy to manage. After being referred to Shayna 6 months ago, I've gotten constant complements on my hair, and I've even been on at least one date per week! I can't tell you enough about Shayna's attention to detail, consistency, and ability to understand style and what you want. I just gave her a basic idea, with a few photos for examples. She took the idea, added some customized ideas (based on my face shape, and skin color) and not only gave me the best haircut of my life, but also gave me a few highlights that make my hair look like a rockstar! The style is easy in the morning, and my color is so expertly done that I rarely need to touch it up, or get more color done. I LOVE IT, thank you Shayna!

I recently moved from Los Angeles where my former hair stylist told me, in order to ensure a great style, look for a woman with great hair and ask her for her stylists name. I took her advice which lead me to Maira, who is absolutely, hands down an excellent colorist and stylist. Maria listened to my ideas about how I wanted my hair to look and gave me honest feedback about what I wanted to do with my hair. Trusting her knowledge, capability, and advice was well worth the visit. I am so pleased with how my color turned out - it is just perfect. I highly recommend going to Maria because she is excellent at what she does and she listens. Not to mention she is sweet and gives great deals to her clients. I will definately become a dedicated customer!!!

I have been going to Carrie for about 6 years. I have traveled from Broomfield and back to find someone who truly knows hair. I can always go to her and she just knows what I need before I even ask. Although many times I have talked her into trying new styles and colors she always knows what is best for my hair type. It is hard to find someone who can give you the style that best fits your hair type as well as lifestyle. I will forever be one of her biggest fans!! I love when people stop me and ask who does my hair! I would travel wherever she is!!!
