Moscarillo's of West Hartford

If I could leave less than one star, I would. My brother-in-law ordered flowers for his Mother for Mother's Day, 2011, through a California florist near his home and Moscarillo's took the order, and his money. The arrangement was delivered to the nursing home where she lived on Saturday; and was in the compost heap on Sunday. I have never seen dead Baby's breath in an arrangement before. Over the years I have made many purchases of flowers, shrubs, trees and garden supplies and was satisfied. This arrangement was a disgrace and shameful and should be an embarrassment.

I am a first time shopper at moscarillo's and I have to say that l had a delightful experience. The greenhouse looks georgeous and is filled with a wide variety of plants. The staff was very friendly and especially helpful despite the fact that they were extremely busy. I would highly recommend!

Moscarillo's has beautiful plants, and if you're an experienced gardener, you'll probably love it. But if you're a beginner or have questions, I wouldn't recommend them. I went earlier this week looking for some specific things. I asked the man behind the counter if they were going to get any more of a planter that they were out of. He told me I could go ask inside. Then I asked him if they carried a particular plant because I couldn't find it. He said yes, pointed, and said, ""It's over there somewhere - maybe about the fourth row."" I looked there but couldn't find it. Another young man who worked there walked by, and I asked him. He was very nice and tried to help me, but I don't think he knew what the plant was. He said that the first person I spoke to would be back in a minute, and that he could help me. I waited about ten minutes, and I walked outside. The two were standing together, and the younger man asked me if I had found what I was looking for. I said no, and that I was giving up. The first man I spoke to just laughed, which I thought was very rude. Obviously customer service isn't particularly important to him. There are a lot of nurseries with very nice, helpful staff members, so I wouldn't shop there again.
