Porter's would be a decent place to go if the bar staff would lose the attitude. All around, the service was horrible: slow and sloppy. I wouldn't even recommend this place to people I don't like.

This is a great place to go to when you want something that's just a regular bar, not too crowded, and where you won't have music cranked really loud. Sometimes you just want to sit at the bar, drink and have good conversation whereas other places you have to compete with the music.

If you're looking for a good mid-town bar in DC and you're in your early 20's, take a look at Porter's. On Thursdays, Fridays and Saturdays, Porter's is packed with GW students drinking and dancing. The top floor of Porter's as a DJ and there are bars on every floor. If you like Madhatter's or Sign of the Whale on the weekends, you'll feel right at home at Porter's.
